We are called the Night Witches, the witches of the night

We do not cast spells of magic, but we release bombs from our planes

We're hard to catch, even so much as to be rewarded with an iron cross if our enemy were to kill us

In the night, our planes are light

No one hears anything but the whizzing of our planes in the sky, but only if they listen hard enough

Even if we only carry two bombs, we are sure to use them wisely

We are the Night Witches, and we make no mistake,

We are the Night Witches, and the lives of the enemy are the ones we take

Silent heroes, ones lesser known to history,

Yet, knowing our story is no mystery
