I fought double in the war,

An agent, but I didn't start at my intended door

Denied to work for the allied forces,

I created a fake identity and instead fought with Germany

However, I acted as a spy for the allied side

For I gave the Germans lies, information true but not important, and the all critical information at the wrong time

I was once more noticed by the allies, and I became an agent for them

A double agent I was

I operated under "Garbo" to the British and "Arbel" to the Germans

On both sides, I was given rewards

From the Germans, a cross of iron

And from the British Empire, The Most Excellent Order
