"When the bell of blessing rung, the wings of phoenix will spread, the children of our empire shall kneel before the crowned, All hail to the Emperor, All hail to the crowned Empress. All hail... "

As the head of eunuchs repeat the mantra of recognition, the courtroom is slowly fill in with the harem ladies lining up in the each side of the red carpet with a respectful bow. After the last lady entered the room, the court officials entered the room as well and line up behind the harem ladies.

The Empress Dowager and the Grand Empress Dowager enter the courtroom and stand in front of the harem ladies, everyone bow to show their respect as the two women scan the Ladies of the Emperor.

The Grand Empress Dowager smile as she whispered to the Empress Dowager beside her "I wonder what our dear Emperor's reaction once he learn who his Empress is"

The Empress Dowager chuckle "I guess we'll find out"

Then the huge double door slowly open revealing a man wearing a sun colored robe design with gold. Though he have a very cold expression, most of the ladies can't help but fall in love with him. He is strong, powerful, emperor, handsome... Like, who wouldn't like the kind of guy? Unless you have a different type that is.

Gao Xue Long walk steadily towards the erected platform looking just straight ahead, his aura is a mix of calm and cold that everyone whom he passed by will feel a bit of intimidation. He climb the stairs leading up to the throne and sat down after.

The drums sounded creating a rhythm of silent melody. Another figure appear before the door, a woman dressed in a sun colored robe arrive accompanied by maids and eunuchs, she slowly walk in front and kowtow just in the foot of the stairs.

The Emperor stand from his seat then descended to where the woman is, he help her up and guided her back to the throne beside him. As they sat, the harem Ladies together with the court officials kowtow before their Emperor and their new Empress. They all recite the Acceptance and Loyalty promise.

To the Grand Empress Dowager and Empress Dowager's disappointment, the Emperor didn't show much of a reaction. They could only both sigh to themselves.

The new Empress is smiling, she seems to be happy sitting beside the Emperor... That's what everyone sees it.

But oh how wrong they are, KT Xi felt his goosebumps when the Emperor grab his arm and help him up, he want to shake off the Emperor's hands as he guided him to the throne, he want to ask -why, why is he sitting in the throne for a woman!

The glass broke into pieces as the man in the middle of the table raged "The Phoenix Throne has acknowledged a new Empress. Don't you know what that means!?"

The other eight people within the room stare at the man ridiculously, they already hear the boiling temper of this man, but never will they ever expect that the man himself will be that bad tempered that he could even a show his true nature in front of them. Such a noisy old man.

The minister who is sitting in a far seat spoke up "Lord Shun, you have to calm down"

"Calm down?–" He stand "–Calm down!!? You all know what the prophesy said once a true Empress is crowded! Or any of you became a lazy good for nothing people!?" He spat

The four minister exchange an annoyed glances. Another man spoke up to Lord shun in a rather irritated tone. "Lord Shun, there is a reason why those people didn't prevent the selection. We just have to trust their judgement for the time being"

Lord Shun snorted "how can I trust those people who doesn't even disclose their information to us"

The two glare at each other hatefully.

"My what a tense atmosphere we have here" Chang Han enter the room and gracefully sat down, everyone watch him with surprise as the foxy man smiled to them in an easy manner. "The prophesy... Is happening indeed; however, it is still in its early stage, the future still has a lot to offer"

The old minister frown as he ask "What about Deathblade? We needed it urgently for our Lord, don't you think that the time you're executing this mission is very slow?"

Chang Han chuckle, he replied "I will find Deathblade myself, the Phoenix throne has acknowledged a master. We will have to observe what this new Empress has to offer-"

"So that's it, my daughter is sacrificed for our cause and yet you will not give her the justice that she deserves!?" Lord Shun interrupted, fuming.

Chang Han who has an easygoing atmosphere suddenly became deadly as he said "Lord Shun, remember who sign the contract with us. You willingly let your daughter die for your greed to be part of the new empire"

Hearing it, Lord Shun could only grit his teeth as his fist clinch tightly. He slowly sit down in his seat and keep his mouth shut.

Chang Han smile and his easygoing atmosphere return, he wave his fan while scanning everyone. "Deathblade is a beautifully crafted killing tool. No matter how hard they try to hide it, it will always shine and attract the attention of everyone who look closely, don't worry everyone, as what I promise to my Lord, Deathblade is near"
