The Emperor's low and commanding voice penetrated everyone's ear as he added coldly "I promised to you, and with a condition Wei. I hope you didn't forget"

Everyone is panting slightly. When the Emperor said those words, their attention went to the woman that caused their predicament to this moment. Ru Wei look down and didn't reply, her thoughts are jumbled in attempt to counter the Emperor.

One Minister couldn't take it anymore and bravely spoke out in defense for the consort "Your Majesty if I may. The Imperial Noble Consort is just claiming what is rightfully hers, as his Majesty's words is a law itself, the promise should be administered to his Majesty as well."

Gao Xue Long look down to the Minister. The said man is currently bowing and is still panting slightly from the heavy pressure.

The Emperor calmed down. He glance at the Noble consort before returning to the Minister "As what I had promised to Wei. She will be the Empress." His eyes sharpen as it turn to the woman "If she met the condition that I set under the watchful eye of the moon. Am I right?"

Ru Wei nod and meet the eyes of the Emperor. "That is why, Ru Wei is claiming what is rightfully hers." Her gaze drifted to the woman sitting beside the Emperor. "With the moon as our witness, Ru Wei exchange vows to the Emperor. Ru Wei will continue to become strong. Strong enough to stand by his Majesty's side for eternity. She will return with a power to destroy her enemies. Ru Wei is expecting her name to be crowned as the Empress. However, the Empress Dowager preferred Lady Yin Xi, a tall and lean woman that has a beauty that could ruin any empire that she desires... I can't help but feel that the Vase stole the Gardener's attention from me."

KT Xi who is staring at the woman intently couldn't help but avert his line of sight as he thought awkwardly. A beauty that could ruin any empire that she desire. Ehh... Hearing it, the Emperor chuckle in the same cold manner "Hm, I am glad. Wei hasn't forgotten... What is the worth of beauty when they only know how to live in the luxury of the palace... Gao Xue Long stare coldly to the Minister as his lips reveal a slightly visible smirk. "That standard isn't set for the Emperor." He look back to Ru Wei whom is now staring back at him "Those are my standard as a man."

Everyone immediately exchange glances and a few silent murmurs. Most are speechless. The Minister couldn't help but stutter. "T-the... O-of course! Ha ha, his Majesty is a-also a Man who has his own s-standard. I beg for your forgiveness your Majesty" The minister immediately cup his fist and bow down deeply. His blood run cold and he is now cold sweating.

Ru Wei is not faze by anything around her, her only focus is to the Royal couple in front of her. "His Majesty has that standard, I believe that the selection for the Empress does not fit with his Majesty's desire. Thus, we challenge the Empress for the throne, she will have to exhibit herself if she is fit for His Majesty's criteria"

She have a point. The Emperor glance at his side and couldn't help but smirk. The shadow guard beside him is still having a blank expression, but closely to his eyes and you will see, the raging fire that ignited due to the challenge. The Emperor is very much aware, all his shadow guards are trained for a challenge from a very young age. With that, the Emperor decided. "A battle will commence, everyone of the harem ladies have the right to steal the throne from my entitled Empress,. further details will be sent to you,... That is of course, if my Empress agrees " He said with his penetrating gaze to the face of the shadow guard beside him.

When KT Xi continue to slide back and the emperor follows, the Shadow guard's back bump into something that caused him to be trapped between the Emperor and the arm of the chair. At the moment, KT Xi's discomfort is added.

Gao Xue Long lifted his hand up and traces his empress eyebrow and then his cheeks. Ever so slowly, it slide down and went to the back of the shadow guard's vulnerable neck.

Thanks to his blank expression, KT Xi's reaction could only be seen through his eyes as it widened a little. He felt his goosebumps allover his body as the Emperor's hand put enough pressure to his fingers and slowly massage him, a little bit to his hair and then to his nape.

Please stop. The shadow guard could only helplessly cry to himself. It's not actually painful, no, it's actually amazing that he don't want it to stop, and it scares him. It sent a wave of something that stir within him in which he couldn't understand!!!

The Emperor's cold and handsome face lean close to KT Xi, their eyes lock once again!. Gao Xue Long spoke lowly that only the shadow guard could hear "Are you willing to fight for me. Kei Tian Xi."

KT Xi thought for a bit. If the Emperor is referring to his mission,then. Without hesitation, the shadow guard reply resolutely in the same low tone. "His highness already holds my loyalty"

Hearing his reply, the side of Gao Xue Long's lips slightly raise.

Right in front of everyone, he lean closer and use the hand that hold's his Empress neck to draw him(KT Xi) close as well, he gently kiss the unsuspecting shadow guard on the forehead causing everyone to stare wide eyed, all the Harem ladies felt an ill-feeling towards the Empress.

Ru Wei herself also grit her teeth and fisted her hand tightly that she could possibly cut herself with only her nails.

KT Xi himself is too surprise that his constant blank expression crack.
