[BL] DEATHBLADE; The Emperor's Blood Pledged Shadow Guard

Chapter 20

Gao Xue Long walk like a thunder as his stride keep him moving forward in an unknown direction. The maids, eunuchs, guards and shadow guards dutifully follow behind the emperor like a tail. When the Emperor arrive at his destination, he just barge in to the room and mercilessly wipe the table clean of scrolls and things. The record officer look up then almost yell, but end up swallowing his words back. The Emperor right now is furious, his pair of scarlet eyes are glowing like a go signal for a kill. "What is the ministry of affairs doing here in the office? How many lives are already wasted just because this office is preposterously lazy!?"

The record officer scramble on his feet and bow deeply to the Emperor, his hands and forehead are sweating in attempt to keep himself calm as he reply fearfully "Y-your Highness, the ministry of affairs is handling the situation carefully"

"Then this Emperor is wondering why the Royal harem is being targeted!?" He boomed causing the people around to be shaken from the strength of the words that he throw.

The record Officer wipe his sweating hands on his robe then cup his fist "W-we are doing our outmost best to ensure his Highness that this will be the last case of death that the Emperor will hear"

Gao Xue Long's scarlet eyes glow causing the officer before him to grunt and kneel on the ground, his face is red while his hand desperately grab his throat in attempt to assist his breathing. Not only him though, Royal guard Alma, the maids, the eunuchs and the guards of the fifteen feet radius around the Emperor is in the same situation, they are all kneeling on the floor with their blood under the Emperor's control.

"Once this situation aren't dealt with properly, your name will be the next one on the list" The Emperor threaten, his hidden tyranny is leaking out in every words he throw.

Finally, the Emperor blink and his scarlet eyes return to its once dark color. The people around him fearfully sigh in relief while the officer cough hard, he is the only one who is hit by the Emperor's manipulation rather hard.

Meanwhile, KT Xi and the others exchange glances when the people around the ministry of affair's office are collapsing one by one. At first, they thought that someone is attacking those people silently, but when they look closer to the signs, they could only sigh.

While they're at it, KT Xi's attention is glued above the office, his eyes narrow as the sunlight hit them, but the shadow guard's line of sight never left a certain location. In KT Xi's calculation, forty feet above is a huge transparent object, the form is yet to defined and as soon as he saw it, it was gone. Most weren't able to see it, but he know that something was out there, with that thought, KT Xi's eyes dangerously narrow.

Suddenly, there is a shout of horror. The Emperor emerge from the office and gaze at KT Xi's location with a hidden order.

When the shadow guard comprehend the Emperor's command, he expertly jump to a tree and dash towards the location of the shout. Not long after, another sight greeted his arrival, a new body of a female and some maids are being helped by the imperial guards in attempt to save the bleeding people.

Their wounds and looks are the same as the other victim.

With the sharp senses of the shadow guard, he quickly saw the barely noticeable figure running away from the scene. Based on its movement and distance covered by running, KT Xi is positive that the person is a professional assassin.

The shadow guard draw a dagger hidden in his boots then quickly follow his target.

The assassin of course notice the fast approaching person, he glance over his shoulder then draw a dagger from his legs pants.

The assassin expertly twist his legs and turn around to face his pursuer. KT Xi grip his own dagger and the two fight head on.

KT Xi sidestep as the assassin thrust his dagger exactly to his chest, he then turn and side-kick his opponent forcing the other to use his right arm as a shield as he brace for the impact. The kick hit the arm and a sound of a broken bones was heard. The shadow guard then draw his katana and aim to the assassins neck.

Seeing the blade, the assassin coldly ignore his broken arm then draw his own katana with his fine arm. Metal collide with another, KT Xi drag his blade till it hit the hilt of his opponents blade then use his free hand to draw a dagger from his sleeves and thrust it to the assassin, the later quickly saw the attack and took a step while he tap his boots revealing a sharp objects in its heel, he then swing his legs causing the shadow guard to step back a bit, but before he could counter, KT Xi -like a hurricane spun and slashed his chest dangerously deep.

The assassin got distracted for a bit, the shadow guard sees it as an opening then immediately disarm his opponent by slashing his hands, the assassin quickly scramble away from him but KT Xi suddenly vanished and a heavy hand fell into the assassins nape, he collapse on the ground out cold.

The shadow guard stand before the body like a cold blooded killer, he grab something from his clothes in his chest then place it near his lips, he blow at it and the sound of a whistle spread around.

No one knows what that whistles means, only the shadow guards who's ears quickly perk up from the sounds,

Their eyes are cold and devoid with mercy.
