Why is he wearing a much heavier robe than before? His hair was even tied up into a tight knot and jewelries all over him. Even his steps are restrained and so he was being guided by the maids towards the Courtroom.

Ya An is holding his right arm while Sa An is holding the left. Mai An is walking behind him grasping the long tail of the robe that wipe the floor due its length. The three maids are very satisfied, the usual thick make up that they usually do during practice is quite unnecessary for KT Xi. So the three decided that they'll only apply a little bit of powder and a pinkish-red tint to his lips, as well as his cheeks.

In KT Xi's mind however, How humiliating!!!

"Her Majesty the Empress have arrived!" The eunuch standing by the door announced loudly.

The low grumble of the huge double door resounded as it slowly open wide.

The courters kneel on one knee, they cup their fist and kneel simultaneously. KT Xi's left eyebrow twitch, he slowly walk in and look up to where the Emperor awaits. Their gaze lock.

They stayed like that for a couple of seconds before the Emperor's gaze averted to the side where a certain woman is kneeling gracefully. His eyes are telling a story that many people didn't know.

Dark eyes are staring blankly on the carpet where the Empress passed by, her lips is tinted red in a nice and beautiful way, her posture is very strong that other women doesn't stand a chance. Her eyes lifted up as the woman who claimed the throne of the phoenix arrive at the bottom of the stair. She glance up to the Emperor and saw him walking down to accept his Empress, he guide her up and help her seat beside him. The woman's lips pursed. That throne... should have been hers.

After the Emperor let his Empress sat, his attention was not yet snapped. He pays attention to how his Empress is trying hard not to let his discomfort be noticed. His face is void with any emotion that only the posture of this woman is clearly distinguishable. The cause of the discomfort... Heavy hair extensions that tide up with his own hair, Jewelries that are attached from head to toe, Robe that has a white first layer as his underwear, a golden yellow one as his second layer that cover his inner robes, and a third layer which is a scarlet-red where the designs of a phoenix that displays its mighty wings displayed, the design is very eye-catching as its image is embroidered from the back then up to its shoulder by a golden tread, it perfectly highlighted the gold from the red robe that signifies its position from everyone.

He is uncomfortable with what he is wearing.

Sensing the Emperor's stare, KT Xi glance at his side and the two once again lock gaze. If everyone haven't notice, here it is, these two always do a staring contest(remember?).

"Why are you wearing all that" The Emperor ask lowly.

KT Xi's blank stare blink once "May I request to the Emperor that this sha– Empress to speak to the Emperor only?"

"You may"

KT Xi bow slightly and reply in a low tone "I will be honest your highness. This Guard... Have no idea" The shadow guard peek through his lashes. That's unacceptable right?

The Emperor just hum before he turn to his people. "Begin" Then the courtiers, as well as the harem ladies bow then simultaneously stand.

The cold beauty who rise to her full height walk forward and stand for the standard ten feet distance from the stair. She look up and meet the Emperor's cold gaze "Your Majesty, this servant before you is bless with a name Wang Ru Wei, crowned as his Majesty's Imperial Noble Consort." She bow and continue with her powerful voice "We from His Majesty's Imperial Harem would like to plea for the Freedom to express ourselves. I, this lowly servant, shall be the voice of the women of His Majesty's Imperial Harem"

KT Xi stare intently to the woman. At the time of the selection for the Empress, the shadow guard is already aware. There are three women amongst the hundreds of candidates that he felt a strong aura that hung in the air.

Coincidentally, the strongest one is standing before them. At that time, KT Xi didn't really mind them because he know that there are some ladies from a few households that train their daughters to fight for a very young age, and at that time, the three women conceal their ability.

Right now though, they are practically displaying their aura.

So Ru Wei is expecting it." Her eyes became cold as she stare blankly at the stair. "I am disappointed that his Majesty didn't fulfill the promise that he made at a pavilion near the lake, in which only the moon give light to the two of us" Ru Wei look up and stare at the Empress.

KT Xi himself couldn't restrain the little frown to appear on his blank expression.

Suddenly, the Emperor chuckle darkly "A promise, yes. I remember"

Everyone's gaze snap towards the Emperor, their eyes are wide with their mouth slightly open in a silent gasp. The emperor promised himself to someone!

At that, Ru Wei's lips raise slightly.

But instantly, the suffocating aura of the Emperor spread wildly to everyone, even those who are outside are affected by the silent killing aura of the man. Everyone immediately clutch their chest painfully as their expressions are frowning.

Ru Wei also frown a little.

The Emperor's low and commanding voice penetrated everyone's ear as he added coldly "I promised to you, and with a condition Wei. I hope you didn't forget"
