The shadow raise an eyebrow.......... Ah... So they're doing this, because of some nonsense that I don't even know about. He could only stare at them blankly. They should find their sword in the right places then.

KT Xi's eyes narrows as the fox took a few step forward and the ghouls enclosed him to ensure no escape.

He calmly glance to his side and look forward to seeing them come any closer, he dare them do. Like hell would he let them.

As Ji Lian took another step forward, the shadow guard's gaze suddenly snap towards his feet which immediately freezes him on the spot. Even if the shadow guard's expression is scarily calm, the fox's brows couldn't help but meet in the middle as the person's stare at his feet is like an indicator that once he take another step forward, hell will definitely let loose, he'll certainly charge forward and unhesitantly cut his feet. No question ask. Mercilessly going for it.

He snicker, well, what do you expect? a blade forged with blood, killed millions of life. A powerful, distructive, and yet beautiful tool that lowered itself to become a lowly human just to hide itself from his next potential masters. Even if he loses his memory, his bloody instinct will definitely control him. At this point, He'll certainly kill me if I take another step forward. Ji Lian sigh, this is not fun at all, he slowly raise both of his arm, one hand grabbing something from his sleeve, slowly taking out the glass/vial meant to restrain something or anything.

Just as he was about to take the vial out of his sleeve, a sharp glare of light hit  both of his eyes causing him to take his arm out and block the light with it. He slowly peek through the gap of his sleeves and saw that the blades that the empress' holding is the one that is glinting with sharp light as it shifted on the side.

Ji Lian's eyes scan the edges of the blades, the up to it handle, looking at it closely, the carvings is quite simple.

His gaze shifted up to the shadow guard's sharp eyes and as expected, it's still looking down at his feet. Nevermind trying to decipher how the Empress would react, once he took the object out, it'll definitely attack.

Opportunity, this needs opportunity. He thought, let's take him by surprise then. He smirk. "ensure that every scape route are blocked," he turn to the ghoul beside him, "I would like to have some fun for a bit. K!"

Then he suddenly vanished in thin air.

Undisturbed, the empress just close his eyes calmly. Sensing the disturbance in the air, KT Xi swiftly turn to the side and raise the blade on his left. Sparks ignited as metals clash against another, Ji Lian jump back then vanished once again in thin air.

The ghouls around them sneaky grab the opportunity to slowly walk closer. The undead harem women gradually fill the entire room making the space seems smaller than it used to.

Because the shadow guard seems have a lot of plates on his hands, One of the lower ranking woman ghoul -who saw an opportunity the very moment KT Xi is distracted by Ji Lian, greedily jump from behind - arms stretch and ready to catch him off guard.

Nothing escapes the senses of the shadow guard however as he twirl his swords, bend his knee and eyes sharpen as swiftly turn back -surprising the ghoul on her way, the blade mercilessly trust into her chest and piearced through her rib cage causing her to puke blood. Her shocked eyes and hated roaten look comes face to face with the cold eyes and expressionless face.

The shadow guard forcefully throw her to the side - crashing against the bodies of ghouls like her.

KT Xi shake the blood off his sword like dirt. His gaze shifted to where the door's at. He stay still for a bit before he dash to the ghouls and clash against them head on. The plan is to escape for now.

Slicing of roaten flesh, breaking of bones, cries of husked voices of women resound as he sliced through his way to the door -with aggressive ghouls coming to his way.

KT Xi's clothes flatters in the wind as he swing his blade up and turn to his back, creating a strong wind that accompanied his movements -and causing the ghouls around him to fly back with a force. As expected, Ji Lian appear out of nowhere with his sword slashing its way down. KT Xi immediately used the other sword he is holding and swing it up toward Ji Lian's side.

The latter quickly jump back and block the sword with his own. KT Xi grab the chance and thrust his sword towards Ji Lian's chest.

The fox is few second late to notice that his body just instictly move on its own. His arm raise up to block and KT Xi's sword sharply pierced through the fox's arm.

The shadow guard frown as he felt through the blade of his sword -aside from his arm's flesh, there is a glass that broke into pieces in his sleeves. Ji Lian is also noticeably more concern for the glass that broke as he immediately jump back, grab the thing from his sleeve, throw it towards KT Xi then vanished, reappearing to where he was standing before.

KT Xi sense that the glass/vial flying on his way -containing dark liquid substance is big bad news, so he too attempted to get away from it by jumping high up in the air and then grab the beam of the ceiling.

Right after he jumped, dark smoke burst out of the vial and grab those that are close to it, KT Xi is unfortunately the closest. It unnaturally snake up onto his ankles. Tighten it's grip, then another twisted around his neck, preventing him from breathing at all.

His eyes then widen as the rest of the black smoke swiftly enclosed him. More darker smoke creep up behind him and wrap allover his body like a unditachable glue.

KT Xi slowly let go of the beam as his consciousness is drifting away.

🙁😔Yup, to be honest, this chap is a bit rushed. A lot of mistakes. 😅I'll fix this I promise. Hehe.....

😭I don't want to be a cruel person, so hear me out guys. I'm having a serious case of authors block for the past months  now. as you can see in my revision history, it took me soo long(as you can see in the image below) to finish this. And in fact this revision history goes on till today.

I actually started writing this chapter after I published the last chapter and then, I know and the idea is already in my head, the problem is I couldn't write them.

😔But, 😣😁I will do harder.

😣I will finish the story I promise.
