BACK TO THE STORY!!!

"I understand, Kitty Xi then."

KT Xi blankly stare at the emperor, thinking how wrong the word sound to his ears when the emperor pronounced it.

The shadow guard frown to ponder to himself. There's definitely something wrong to the Emperor's pronunciation. Nodding to himself, KT Xi tries to correct the emperor while smoothly doing it. "Pardon me your majesty, but this guard would like to correct His Majesty's fault. KT Xi is not pronounced as Kitty Xi,...

"The K is pronounced as keɪ or kay. While the the T is pronounced as ti. And also, the Xi of my code is pronounced differently from my real name Xi which is always pronounced shee -sh as in ship, -ee as in meet.

"The Xi of my code name is xi-eye-as in sigh, or zaai.

So, it is keɪ-ti Xi-eye not, Kitty Shee,. It was actually the common mistakes for the shift of using my own Xi and my codes Xi that..."

While KT Xi continue to lecture or blubber about without knowing it to himself. The Emperor is just silently watching him while having an unknown thought to himself. As he stare at the shadow guard's seemingly unguarded face, he caught a glimpse of a smooth cut on his cheeks which is still bleeding a bit -probably caused by the Imperial Noble Consort's blade. He slowly raise his hand towards his face then caress the wound a little bit. As he trace the small wound that is a bit swollen and have a bit of blood, it slowly close like how it used to be before the fight -leaving no scar and only blood.

The Emperor wipe the blood away with his thumb then look back to the blubbering shadow guard in front of him -returning his arm around the shadow guard's waist. While the the latter is actually unconscious to what the emperor did as he continues to explain. "...so if I may, could I ask His majesty to remember it and not mix up the two pronunciation of this guard's name and code, it might be a..."

"Huángdì lóng xuè." The emperor cut him off -causing the shadow guard to freeze while staring back into the emperor's dark eyes. That is when he finally realized that he is still at the presence of the emperor.

He gulp and zip his mouth shut. KT Xi look at the emperor's eyes and waits for the Emperor's next move or word to him.

While staring, the shadow guard notice something spectacular and rare about the emperor's eyes, looking at it closely, KT Xi can actually tell that the emperor's iris is actually a midnight-blue in its natural state -far from how he usually described it as scary dark-black eyes when you don't look at it clearly. KT Xi wanted to point it out, however, it is not the perfect timing yet for talking about something like that.

Now back to the situation at hand. In front, or more like -while sitting comfortably at the emperor's lap, he explained a probably useless stuff to his majesty while unconsciously lowering his guard as he tries to differentiate the Kitty Xi to KT Xi, and the Xi of his real name and the Xi of his code.

And more importantly, he just talked and talk continuously that he forgot that he is talking to the Emperor, and worst, while sitting on his lap.

Hmm... If pointing out something else, he won't deny that he is actually comfortable in this position -sitting on the emperor's lap that is... and in all honesty -he don't know why. So he won't -and will never be saying it out loud to the emperor's face.

Remembering what the emperor last said, KT Xi ask to repeat it because he didn't quite catch it first.

"Huángdì lóng xuè,.. But call me LongXue, I want you to call me that." He replied calmly.

KT Xi frown in bewilderment, why would the emperor want him to be called by his real name... No wait. "LongXue?" he can't help but ask. If he's not mistaken, the Emperor's name is Gao Xuè Long, not LongXue... Why?

The emperor seems to understand why he asked him that so he patiently explains it. "I'll take you as the Example. Your real name is Kei Tian Xi. As a shadow guard, you are Kitty Xi,-" KT Xi's eyebrow twitch a little. "-and when you are pretending or facing the public, you are my Empress Yin Xi." He pause, gazing straight into the shadow guard's eyes. The emperor's face is void of any emotions. "As an Emperor, I am just Emperor, called by some as Gao Xue Long for my duty, it is my one and only identity -that of course, very few are kind of aware to it-" He glance at the door to see it lock. "As I have my full trust in you-" He then look back to the shadow guard's face as his hand slowly raise towards it then caress KT Xi's neck. "I am willing to let you use my real name. You got that."

Feeling that stroke of the emperor's hand on his neck, KT Xi's breath hitch. The way it draw circles around the base of his neck and tracing his collar bone, he could only congrats himself for this as his face remains deadpan while his inside is in a complete state of emergency.

Then his eyes widen as the Emperor lean his face closer, the once Midnight-blue iris is glinting with scarlet as the two of them stare.

The Emperor's lips suddenly raise up to a cunning smirk. Then he whispers. "Do you wanna know why I chose you for this role. Kei Tian Xi?" His iris turn into a raging scarlet."oh I forgot, kitty Xi."

The shadow guard suddenly felt like dying. Could it be that the emperor is one of those men who like men also?

No wait... There is a specific reason why the emperor chose me?
