NIALL'S POV

"So, she doesn't remember you?" Louis hands me a cup of hot tea.

"Nope. not at all." I rub my nose.

"Well I'm sorry mate." I put my head down.

"There's nothing I can do, the feelings are gone. I knew this would happen.."

"It might just take time, all you need to do is hope and pray."

"I guess so. I'm still going to keep trying, no matter how much she remembers."

"That's great, Horan!" I feel a strong urge to punch his goofy grin off his face.

"Shut up." I mumble.

"What was that?"

"Nothing. And by the way, I'm not leaving Denver." he opens his mouth in surprise.

"You can't do that, Our tour isn't over."

"I can do whatever I want."

"But you're still famous, you can't give your dream up for one girl."

"She's not just one girl, Louis."

"Then what is she, you tell me."

"She's a girl, that I'm deeply in love with."

"Since when have you been in love?"

"Does it matter? I've waited for all these years to find the perfect lass."

"Lass with a fat ass." he slaps his butt.

"No! She's a lot prettier than your "so called" girlfriend."

"Calm down, i was only kidding." it wasn't funny, jack ass..

"So.. Did she like the gift?"

"I didn't she her open it..." I sigh.

"Why?"

"Because, she wanted me to leave so she could sleep." I respond.

"Hmmmm. She sounds fun.." I suddenly toss a pillow at him.

"Ouch! You hit my bouncers!" he squels, covering his crotch.

"Yeah, that was the point. Why do you have to be so damn annoying?"

He shakes his head, leaving me alone on the couch.

He almost hits head against the door, causing me to laugh.

As I fall deep in to thought, I start to build up anxiety from thinking about her.

I think about tour, the fans, but it always rotates back to Adrianna. Why do I have to be in love?

Before I can come up with multiple reasons why, I think about her cheeriness and the way she puts me into a happier state.

Turning off the football program, I jump up, retrieving the pen far under the couch.

Along with that, I grab an empty notebook scattered with books on the floor.

I click my pen, tapping the tip against the coffee table.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the perfect lyrics that would complete all the endless thoughts.

Many rejected rhythems, I finally put the perfect notes together.

I hum, coming up with a chorus to follow.

I rush to write the lyrics popping into my head, in black ink I print:

/CHORUS: 'You and I, we don't wanna be like them. We can make it till the end, nothing can come between you and I.

Not even the Gods above, can separate the two of us. no, nothing can come between..

You and I, oh you and I./

After putting the chorus into place, I jolt down verse 1 and spend the rest of the night filling up the song. I drop the pen, feeling unbearable hand cramps.

I glance at the clock, making way to my bed, realizing the clock reads five A.M.

As I jump in the bed, I immediately fall asleep.

I sleep the whole next day, worrying the others.

When I wake, Harry catches me in the hallway running up to me.

With an excited look on his face, he lifts me into the air and squishes me.

"Okay, you can put me down now Harold."

"I told you to quit calling me that." he replaces his smile into a scowl, covering his mouth with each hand.

"Sure thing...Harold.." I fail at hiding my noticeable giggle.

"Okay Niall Smile." He always tries way too hard for a come-back.

"Wow curly. That was sooo clever." I mumble the words.

"I thought it was funny." I'm sure he doesn't.

"Whatever you say Harry balls." I walk into the bathroom.
