Psychology

Quick A/N - I still have a D but I'm really hopeful for staying in the class. Here's why.

I woke up this morning, to my unfortunate. Since it's homecoming week, we have weird dress days. Today was way back.
I put on my usual black jeans, one of brother's shirts, and, with much difficulty and stabbing myself, put on eyeliner.

Anyways, let's skip to why we're here.

In psychology today, we took notes as we always do.
We usually finish with at least half an hour left.
We either do work, which is highly unlikely, or we talk.
My teacher was going around talking to students and I didn't understand why.
Until he got to me.

He called me over to him so I went over.
He looked me in the eye.
I hate when people do that.
Eye contact makes me so uncomfortable.
" You know you have a D in this class, right?"
I nodded.
" If you have a D or a F in this class, they kick you out."
I nodded again.
" I can fight for you if you have a high D. But if you don't, I can't control what they do."
I nodded again.
He started talking to another student. I went back to my seat.

Fight for me

I don't know why this means so much to me.

He said he can fight for me.

He looked so sincere.
I could tell he really wanted me to stay in his class.
I did too.
We have open discussions in class.
He explains things in ways that make perfect sense.
But I'm still failing.
It's the tests. And the stupid brain drawing we did.
I turned mine in late today.
Hopefully I'll go back to a C.
If not, I get kicked out of the class and grounded.
I really want to stay in psychology.

My other grades are slowly getting better.
I'm geometry, I got to an 80.
And I have a 79 in biology and geography.
Spanish and avid are high B's.
Or avid will be back to a B.
I had a late assignment I turned in today.
In English I think I have a 78.
I don't understand how and why I have a C in English and a B in geometry.
I mean, my family is really good at math.
Even the dumb ones.
Numbers just make more sense to us.
Words are just letters.
We've learned to look at the words and know what they mean without reading them thoroughly.
That's also why me and my family read extremely fast.
It's just what we do.
Good with numbers.
Quick with words.
It works for us.

Before I go on a whole rant, that's all for tonight.
