"Hey, Alana?" Jared asked when everyone had finally left and it was just him and Alana lounging on the worn down couch in Alana's living room.

"What's up bathbomb-eater?" Alana teased her best friend, finally looking up from her phone.

"I just wanted to know, umm, how did you get Zoe to start dating you?" Jared twiddled with his hair and glasses, awkwardly awaiting the answer.

"Oh!" She chuckled. "We were hanging out a lot for a while and we got drunk one night and made out... we somehow remembered in the morning and it went from there."

"Yeah, something tells me that I can't get Evan drunk" he complained, rubbing his fingers through his hair, defeated.

"Ooohhhh So Evan, huh?"

Jared blushed and shrugged. "I just don't know how I could possibly get him to like me! He's so perfect and I'm so... Jared." He made a disgusted face at his own name.

"That's not fair, you're amazing. I bet he loves you. And if he doesn't...screw him cause I know I love you."

"Thanks, Al." He mustered a half-smile.

Alana immediately knew what she had to do, opening up the messages app on her phone and pulling up her conversation with Evan.

Lana- heyyy Evvvvvv

Evvy; hi, alana

Lana: soo I was textin to see if ya like anybody

Evvy: well.. umm, you see...

Lana: so who is it? Connor? Jaredddd?

Evvy: stahp

Lana: so which one?

Evvy: mind ya own business

Lana: soo.... Jared?

Evvy: yeah...

Alana set her phone face down on the coffee table so she wouldn't see the texts she got, tiring to Jared.

"You should ask him out!"

"Well maybe he likes you..."

Jared picked up his phone and pulled up Evans contact.

Jare-bear: Hey evvvvvv

Evvy: hi, Jared

Jare-bear: so I was wondering if you have a crush on anybody

Evvy: maybe? Why?

"What did he say?" Alana squealed, nosily learning over so she could see Jared's phone screen.

"Nothing yet. Goddammit Alana, fuck off." Jared waves his hand, not looking up from his phone screen.

Evvy: that's a name? Is he Chinese?

Jare-bear: oh my god you sweet, adorable idiot

Jare-bear: sorry... I just meant that it's you... I have a crush on you
