Sophia

"Wait." I said as we entered the garage. All boys came to a stop right behind me, trying not to topple over. I turned to face them. "Have any of you checked his room?" I asked.

I know it was a stupid question, of course they've checked his room. But once when I went through a really difficult time, I locked myself in my room for three days straight. My parents just presumed I'd gone to stay with my friend but I was in my room the whole time.

"Erm, no...?" Michael said.

I rolled my eyes, wow these boys. "Wait here," I said and left the garage.

I wandered to the large staircase and started to ascend. There were six doors on the landing.

They were all open except one. I took a deep breath and slowly approached the furthest door. Once I was there I had to compose myself. You got this Sophia.

I tapped lightly on the door. I didn't wait for a reply as I know he wouldn't. I pushed the door open and slid in, shutting it behind me. I turned to see the figure laid facing away from me on the bed.

I took a quick second or two to take in Calum's room. A large double bed was the feature of the room, with it's dark leather head board and dark red sheets. The feature wall was a grey brick whilst the rest were white. The floor was the softest carpet my feet had ever been blessed to touch. There was an abundance of matching furniture in the room with a large tv on the wall opposite to the bed.

My eyes landed back on the bed where Calum laid. He was on the side closest to me. I slowly walked to the other side of the bed. I got onto my knees and rested my arms on the side of the bed, looking at him.

His eyes were shut but I could tell he was awake with his shaky breaths and freshly stained, wet cheeks.

"Calum." I said softly. It hurt me to see him like this. I was the one who caused this and I felt horrible for it.

His eyes opened slowly and they looked lost for a second until they landed on mine. I smiled softly, "Hey."

Instead of responding, Calum's arm reached for mine. I let him take it. I thought that's all he wanted, a hand to hold. But he started pulling it towards him, I couldn't help but stand as he continued to pull me towards him. A few seconds later I was on the bed with him. His arm wrapped around me and he pulled me into him.

I didn't know how to react. For starters I know he was only using me as comfort. Something to hold but I couldn't help but feel like there was more too it.

The way we fit together, my petite frame fit perfectly within his broad and muscular one. His body was radiating off nervous heat. All he did was hold me and I was happy to be there for him. I managed to squeeze my arm out from his clasp and I hooked it over him, also pulling him closer to me.

We laid like that for about ten minutes until I could hear gentle snores coming from him.

There was a knock at the door and it opened to reveal Ashton. He studied the way Calum and I were locked into position.

I beckoned for him to be quite by attempting to put my finger to my lip and he nodded. I could tell in his face that it hurt him to see Calum and I like this but he knew how I felt and I know he wanted to be my friend more than anything.

"Is he okay?" He said in a quiet tone as he perched on the edge of the bed.

"We haven't spoken." I said.

I looked at Calum's face. It was so odd seeing him in this pure form. No shouting, no mean scowls just a simple innocent face. It made me wonder what it would have been like knowing Calum a few years ago, before all of this had happened.

"Ashton, what was Calum like before Sophie?" I whispered.

Ash smiled softly as what I'm sure was a memory that popped into his head. "He was amazing. He was my best friend. Out of all the boys, we had gotten on the best. He was funny, always cracking jokes. If anyone was sad he'd definitely be the one to make you feel better. He was selfless and had such a big heart. And he was really, really passionate about his music. You just caught him at the wrong time I guess." Ashton said.

I sighed, "this poor boy, he didn't deserve any of this." I said. Although I was talking to Ashton, I said it to Calum. Even if he was asleep, I hoped subconsciously, he heard me.

"Do you want me to takeover?" Ashton chuckled lightly.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"About ten pm?" He guessed.

"It's okay, I'll stay, will you text my mom from my phone, tell her I'm staying over." I asked. Ashton nodded and left the room.

I felt like my arm was losing all the blood in it as it was hanging over Calum. But I didn't care, Calum needed someone and I was happy to be here. Even though I was 100% certain he'd hate me for it in the morning but I knew deep down he'd be grateful for it. He has a way with hiding the truth and I know that now.

Calum's POV

I pulled the cushion closer to me, I was so comfy right now. I could lay here forever. These past few days have been awful. I had to stop myself from seeing her, it would only make me feel worse. I wish I hadn't ran from her, in fact I wish I had done the opposite. Ran to her, picked her up in my arms and never let go. But I couldn't go through it again.

I opened my eyes slowly. My arm was draped over someone's stomach. The person was full dressed and was letting out cute little snores. My eyes wandered to their face. It was Sophia. Then I remembered what had happened last night.

She had come round, she was the one who found me like this, I was the one to pull her onto the bed.

She looked so peaceful. Her chest was falling up and down slowly. Her hair was over her face, it had fallen out of the hairstyle it was previously in. And her cheeks were rosy, it was definitely warm in here.

I gulped and slowly took my arm off her as I was doing so, she stirred and her eyes fluttered open. She breathed in deeply and then let out a yawn. After doing so, her eyebrows furrowed together and her eyes wandered around the room as she realised where she was, her eyes snapped to me.

"Calum." Was all she said.

I didn't say anything.

"I'm sorry for crashing here, I didn't want to leave you and I also couldn't...literally." She laughed slightly as she scrambled off the bed. "I should get going."

"Yeah I think you should." I also stood up.

She took this as her cue to leave as she started to scurry towards the door. But before she could, I put my hand on it. "Thank you." I said.

Our eyes met we stood there still for a second. I couldn't help but let my eyes wander to her lips. And suddenly she was getting closer to me. I breathed in and shut my eyes expecting her lips to be on mine but they didn't, instead she placed them softly on my cheek.

I opened them and she opened the door, "You're welcome Calum." She smiled softly and then with that, she was gone.

AN

Hey look at me with the quick updates...again.

This chapter is kind of a filler, doesn't really do much for the plot, I just got this idea and wanted to include it.

Don't get too used to these super fast updates, I just finished an assignment so had a bit of free time. But I've got another two due on the 13th december so those will be my priority. But don't worry I'll still be updating just not as quick as three times a week lol.

Also just wanted to say we're #3 in Starstruck and #17 in the 5sosfam yay.

Anyway QOTD: Are any of you at college/uni and what are you studying?

I study Fashion Marketing and am in my second year :)
