so i've decided to end this book and this will be the final chapter, y'all have been good to me, thank you.

zach sat at his table in the art room working on his project, it was a watercolor picture of a boy crying in the rain.

suddenly daniel was right beside him holding a cup of paintbrushes, "he came out to his parent's yesterday."

zach looked up at daniel, "h-how'd it go?"

"they accepted him; he's waiting to tell them about having a boyfriend though" daniel said with a small smile.

"at least they accept him," zach stood up and hugged daniel without thinking, "i-i'm sorry."

"no it's okay, i needed one" daniel said as he put the paintbrushes down and pulled zach in to another hug.

zach was still at school after hours when an arm suddenly wrapped around him, scaring the fuck out of him.

"j-jack!" zach gasped as he looked behind him.

jack had his hood up and had his skateboard under his arm.

"hey" jack said as he sat down beside zach as he was finishing up his project.

"what're you doing here?" zach asked.

"i got lonely and came to see you" he mumbled, "did you sneak out again?" zach asked.

"maybe" jack shrugged as he looked down at zach's artwork and smiled, "it's good."

"it sucks ass" zach mumbled as he placed it in the drying rack.

it was seven o'clock.

"come on, lets go" zach said as he grabbed his skateboard and book bag off the ground.

they leaned on the fence and stared at their school and talked for an hour.

zach had his arm around his skateboard with a small smile on his face as he stood beside jack.

"a week until high school is finally over" zach mumbled as he stared at the huge school building.

"it's kind of saddening..." jack said as he grabbed on to zach's hand.

zach flashed jack a surprised look, "how so?"

"i always said i hated school, but it was like an escape and was one of my happiest places" jack mumbled.

zach squeezed jack's hand as they stared at the building for a little longer; eight thirty.

"we should get going before your mom finds out you snuck out again" zach said as he dropped his skateboard on the ground.

zach let go of jack's hand and began to skate, he looked back and saw jack gently smiling as he watched him.

"are you gonna ride or are you just gonna stand there like an idiot?" zach smirked.

jack smiled before dropping his board.

"at least i could skateboard back then" jack said and zach scoffed.

"i can skateboard now."
