She is back at last - my heart melts w/ the thought of my queen falcon flying back to her nest. I'm really really really excited to see her again although we do video and phone calls every time I got the chance. Medyo busy rin kasi ako dahil sa advanced trainings at dahil mahirap ang medicine as a course pero kinakaya naman.
"You're not excited. Really", Ponggay teased me w/ a sarcastic tone. She's been here in my condo for a while and lahat yata ng inorder ko para kay Jema ay nilantakan niya na.
I gave her a dead stare and clung closed fist in the air.
"Hindi yan para sayo! Tsk", reklamo ko sa kaniya.
"Oo na! Tinitikman lang eh. Tse. Makauwi na nga lang sa dorm", pagmamaldita niya naman.
"Eh di umuwi ka. Ikaw lang naman ang nag insist na sumama pa dito eh", pang aasar ko sa kaniya.
Pero imbes na gumanti ay hindi na siya kumibo. She's just sitting there looking around the corners of the room a bit teary eyed I guess.
"Pongs, I'm sorry", I hugged her and patted her head "You've been too sensitive lately. May regla ka ba?", medyo nang iinis ko na namang tanong kaya tumalikod na lang siya sakin. I hugged her again habang hinihimas ang likod niya nang biglang...
"Supri-", my queen shouted cheerfully but after she saw me- I mean us, her face became cloudy.
Napakalas naman ako ng yakap kay Ponggay at agad-agad na lumapit kay Jema.
"B, I missed you", I told her habang niyayakap siya but she's not responding kaya napakalas na lang ako.
She's just standing there looking so conspicious. Para siyang investigator na nasa crime scene.
"A-ate Jema/Wong, I'll get going na", pagpapaalam ni Ponggay. Tumango na lang ako at hinatid siya sa may pinto after asking Jema a permission.
"Ingat ka, best. Text moko", I told Pongs.
"Don't bother. Looks like you got some explaining to do", she replied while having a quick glance inside the room. We bid our goodbyes at agad-agad na akong bumalik sa loob.
"B! Kumusta ang biyahe? Pagod ka? Gusto mo massage? or gusto mong kumain? Nagpaorder ako. Gutom ka na ba? Let's eat", mausisa kong tanong habang hawak ang mga kamay niya.
"Okay lang ako. Baka ikaw ang pagod, uwi na lang ako sa dorm", she replied blankly na medyo ikinasama ng loob ko.
Pagod na pagod ako ilang araw na. Kahit na marami akong kailangang i-review I make sure that I allot time to bond w/ her kahit na malayo siya sakin and now she's acting cold na para bang may ginawa akong masama.
"Ano bang problema, B?", malungkot kong tanong sa kaniya.
"Wala", matipid niyang sagot.
I gave a deep sigh at inalis ang pagkakahawak sa mga kamay niya. I sat beside her on the couch pero medyo distant din ako.
"Ponggay is my bestfriend. Nothing more, nothing less", I told her while looking at the ceiling.
"Alam mo naman pala kung bakit ako ganito eh", madiin niyang sagot.
I faced her na medyo pissed na dahil she's acting so immature right now. Hindi ko na mapigilang hindi magtaas ng tono.
"Jema, it's Ponggay! C'mon. Don't be like that. Wala naman kaming ginagawang masama ng tao, eh. Napikon lang siya sa pang-aasar ko kaya nilambing ko siya", I explained to her.
"Hindi mo manlang ba naisip ang mararamdaman ko kapag nakita kong ganon ka ka-close sa iba, ha? Hindi mo naisip na baka may gusto sayo yung tao? Why not? You're so close to each other and besides, she's single. Normal naman yata na isipin ko 'to based on what I saw hindi ba?", nagtataas na rin siya ng boses.
Hindi na ako umimik not because she's right and I'm wrong but bcos I don't want to argue with something like this dahil baka kung ano pa ang masabi ko.
"Maybe we're just tired. Let's talk about this some other time", I spoke to her as gentle as I could so that she wouldn't misunderstand.
"You're dodging the issue", she stressed.
No one dared to speak, again after that. I don't know what's playing on her mind but I'm slowly giving in. I can't bear to see her in pain bcoz of me. She has the reason not to trust because of what happened in the past tho.
"I hate it when we fight. Besides, sobrang namiss kita. I looked forward na makita ka ulit but now that you're here ganito pa tayo. Pwede bang sa isang araw na lang tayo mag away? Pwede bang ibigay mo na sakin 'to?", malungkot kong tugon sa kaniya.
She cupped my face and kissed my forehead. We smiled at each other when our eyes finally met. Gumaan ang pakiramdam ko. Lahat yata ng pagod ko ng ilang araw naging bula na lang. Afterwards, she placed her hands on the back of my neck habang nag-e-explain.
"I'm sorry, mylove. I just carried away w/ all the movies we watched on our vaecae. Naisama ko pa tuloy dito", she bit her lower lip and that made her so tempting to kiss.
I unbuttoned my shirt on the part of my neck bcoz I feel a bit steamy all of a sudden. The thought of kissing her is making my heart palpitate. I can't look straight at her afraid of her reaction if she notices that I'm being a pervert.
In my surprise, she smacked me in the lips and formed a wide smile while doing that.
"I'm aware that you want that", she told me in her usual sweet voice and gave me a pat in the forehead.
"I love you so much", I uttered and before she could answer it, I had my sweet revenge of kissing her- not just a smack but a torrid kiss. She gently parted our lips and smiled at me.
"Para-paraan!", she exclaimed.
After naming magkaayos with the lousy fight, she decided to apologize to Ponggay for acting strange. She explained that it's bcoz of the movies that is why Ponggay asked her for a movie marathon.
"Bakit kayo lang?", tanong ko at nag-pout na.
"B, hindi ka mahilig sa horror di ba?", pagtataray sakin ni Jema.
"Oo nga! Tapos baka mag damoves ka lang kay Ate Jema do'n, magalit mga multo", biro ni Ponggay from the other line.
"Eh di hindi horror", sagot ko sa kanila.
"Gusto namin horror eh!", they said in chorus.
"Oo na, dito na lang ako sa condo", sagot ko na may pagsuko.
"Tampo na love ko?", Jema asked w/ her usual voice but as usual din na nate-tempt ako. Lahat yata ng gagawin o sasabihin ng babaeng 'to ikakabaliw ko.
"Love... Sorry na. Dito na lang tayo mag movie marathon sa condo mo mamaya. Pwede namang di ka manood eh, ha?", pangungumbinsi niya.
I nod my head at humiga na sa lap niya. I just told her na medyo pagod ako pero ang totoo nilalabanan ko ang mga diyablo sa utak ko na balak gawan ng masama si Jema.
"We'll wait for you, Pongs! Byeee", Jema said and ended the call.
"B, gusto mong lumipat sa kwarto? Mas comfy don", she advised.
"Basta sasama ka sakin, B", mabilis kong sagot sa kaniya.
"Syempre naman. Tara na?", aya niya.
Bumangon na ako at agad na humiga pagkarating namin sa kwarto.
"I love you, Wong!", she kissed my forehead at kinumutan ako.
Ipinikit ko na ang aking mga mata dahil sa tuwing nakikita ko siya ay parang may magagawa akong masama.
"I love you too, Galanza"
May naramdaman pa ako sa tabi ko pero hindi ko na pinansin dahil natuluyan na ang aking pagkaantok.
