Chrissy's POV:
I was standing next to my lockers when Layla walked up to me. "I can't believe that Brittany's reveal is tomorrow. How exciting!"
"I know right?"
"Do you know what she is having?"
I nodded. "Yes. The only people that know are me and her est friend, Callie,"
Callie and I were the ones who planned the gender reveal. Callie was there when they found out but Dad and Brittany didn't want to know cause they wanted to be surprised but they told the doctor to tell Callie so she can plan the gender reveal. Then they told Callie to tell me so I could help her out if she needed it.
"Oh, that's fun,"
"Oh. It will be,"
"What does that mean?"
"Let's just say, it's something that they aren't expecting,"
"Do you mean what they want or the party?"
"I'm not allowed to say,"
Layla opened her mouth to say something but Spencer's voice came out. "What are you not allowed to say?"
Before I could say anything, Jordan answered as he walked up. "The gender of her newest sibling. Hey babe,"
He gave me a quick kiss. "Hey,"
I slid my arm around his lower back and smiled up at him while Layla looked at me. "You haven't told Jordan either?"
"No, and I begged her to tell me,"
"Tried to bribe me too,"
"How so?"
"Trying to take her to her favorite restaurant,"
I rolled my eyes. "Girl, I would've taken that deal,"
I chuckled at the fact they really think I couldn't get him to take me on my favorite restaurant. "Oh, he's still taking me to the restaurant but he still doesn't know the gender,"
JJ walked up to us as I was saying that. "She has you so whipped bro,"
Jordan looked at me and winked. "Mmm but you don't know how she got me to agree to that,"
The boys laughed while I punched Jordan in the arm and Layla rolled her eyes. "Jordan!"
He laughed as he held his arm at the spot where I punched him. "What?"
I just eyed him and looked at Layla "Let's go to class before they start talking about their sexual history,"
I took a step toward Leila but Jordan reaches out and grabs my waist and pulls me to me and wraps his arms around my waist and puts his head in the crook of my neck. "I love you,"
I kissed him. "I love you too, but I need to start walking to class or I'll be late since my class is on the other side of the school,"
He kissed the side of my head and let me go. "Alright, I'll catch you later,"
I hooked an arm with Layla's and started to walk away. "You look good from this view, by the way,"
I didn't give him a reaction and just kept walking away.
------
My phone started to go off loudly during a history test that it made the entire class including the teacher jump and turn to look at me. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know my phone was on ringer,"
My phone was still lit up when I pulled it from my pocket and I saw that it was a text from my mom;
"Hope you're happy, Grant is officially in jail for basically the rest of his life. I hate you and I never want to see you again. You are someone who just takes and takes and never realizes what you're taking away from someone else. No one loves you. Not Jordan. Not any of your friends. You are gonna die alone, bitch,"
I was staring at my phone and then I was staring at my reflection in the phone. "Miss Hendricks,"
I shoved my phone back into my pocket and my stuff into my bag. "I'm sorry, I need to go to the bathroom,"
I rushed out of the room towards the bathroom, I heard feet coming after me. Probably Jordan. "Chrissy,"
I ignored him and walked into the bathroom, into a stall and locked it. I took my phone out of my pocket and tapped on the text, unlocked my phone and started to text back;
"You really are something else. Do you really think I give a shit if you hate me? Guess again, I don't. You stopped being someone I trusted when you cheated on Dad. You stopped being my mom when you married that man. I don't even claim you as anything but an egg donor. The day you let Grant hit me was the day the last string broke and you are the person I hate the most in the world. I don't even hate Grant more than you. I'm glad you don't want to speak to me ever again cause I feel the same way. Also, I know Jordan and my friends love me because every time I was suffering they were there for me and are always there to support me and push me to be the best me. I forgive you for the part you played though but I don't ever want you in my life. My conscious is free, is yours?"
I watched the message finished sending and once it got done sending, I hit the block and turned the screen off and I threw my head up and let out a breath. I heard someone wearing heels walk into the bathroom. "Chrissy?"
It was Liv. "Yeah?"
I unlocking the bathroom door and opened it up and saw a worried looking Liv. "Are you okay?"
I didn't say anything but unlocked my phone and showed her the texts. "Wait, I thought your mom had charges against her too?"
She handed me my phone back. "She does but she hasn't had her court date yet. She was bailed out and is waiting for her court date at home while Grant was put in jail,"
I walked up to the sink, turned it on and splash water on my face. "But what she said was messed up but I'm proud of your response though,"
I picked up my bag from the ground and walked out of the bathroom. "Thank you,"
I saw Jordan leaning against the lockers as I stopped to wait for Liv to come out of the bathroom. "I'm glad you also know that everyone around you loves you. I love you the most though,"
Jordan scoffed and walked up to us. "That's a lie. I love her the most,"
Jordan looked at me, inspecting me trying to see if something was wrong or not. "I'm okay,"
Liv laughed at Jordan. "You wish,"
J looked at her real quick. "I don't have to wish cause I know its true,"
Jordan looked back over to me. "What happened though?"
I shrugged."My mom said that all I ever do is take and never realize what I am taking and that no one truly loves me. Not you or any of my friends. She hates me and never wants to talk to me and I basically said that I didn't care if she hated me cause I hate her, I didn't want to hear from her either and that I know my friends and you love me and I blocked her number,"
"Oh, are you sure you're okay?"
I waved Jordan away."Yeah, it's nothing I didn't know. My mom and sister always hated me and I knew the other thing is a lie. So I'm good,"
"Fine, you love her more but she loves me more,"
I rolled my eyes and started to walked towards my class. "You wish,"
The bell signaling school was over rang. "It's true,"
They argued over this the entire way to my house. I mean from when we got into the car to when they dropped me off.
When we stopped at my house and looked at me and asked me at the same time. "Who do you love more?"
I got off of the car and laughed. "I plead the fifth,"
