I accept the call.
"Hey"
"What's up?"
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?"
"I don't know. Things have been weird all week. We haven't done our daily FaceTime and just things seem awkward. We've never been awkward. Are we good?"
"Yeah, of course, we good."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Has it just been work or something?"
"Yeah, a lot of adjusting, and I've been tired."
"Oh, okay."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean..."
"No no, it's fine."
"I'm so sorry. I should've talked to you more this week. I should've made more time."
"It's fine. I get how it is. Seriously. We spent the whole last weekend together. It's okay V."
"I miss you a lot."
"I know, I miss you too. I'm really sorry for pushing for you to move back. I went too far and I shouldn't have."
"No, you didn't I get why you did. And you didn't go too far."
"It doesn't matter if I want you to come back home and everything. It's not up to me. It's up to you."
"Jo, it's fine. I mean it."
I hate this.
This week has been hard.
I've missed our FaceTime calls and everything.
I'm so glad we can finally see them today.
I sigh.
"So what are you and the guys up to this weekend?"
"Well we have a meeting today and then we're off this weekend. Other than that I'm not entirely sure."
"Have they kept you guys pretty busy this week?"
"Yeah. We've been working on a whole lot of stuff. I can't wait to show you everything!"
"I can't wait for you to show me! I'm so proud of you!"
"I'm really thankful for all of this. I didn't know that I'd actually get to live out my dream. I wouldn't trade any of this for anything."
"I wouldn't want my life any other way honestly."
We continue to talk for about two hours.
"I hate to do this but I gotta head out for that meeting."
"No, you're fine. I get it."
"I'll talk to you after."
"Sounds perfect!"
We say our goodbyes and end the call.
This is when I decide to fix some lunch.
After lunch, I take a shower and get ready.
I decide on a cute crop top and a pair of jeggings.
I love that jeggings exist because they're literally so comfy.
