Fast Forwarding just a bit. School's been still horrible for Emily, but today's her 12th birthday.

Emily POV:

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Shut the fuck up." I said as I slammed my hand on this ridiculously annoying alarm.

I rolled over. All I can think about is how dreadful last night was.

Flashback:

"This beer's fucking fantastic". I slurred.

"I know." Samantha (new friend) said.

"Dude. Did you sit on ketchup or something?" Jason asked?

"What? Crap." I looked down.

I stumbled all the way to the bathroom, with Samantha trailing behind.

"Dude. You get periods?" She asked.

I flicked her off.

"Dude. Chill."

I'm in a hell of a lot of trouble. I thought as I dialed Demi's number.

"Emily." She said as she picked up.

"Pick me up." I slurred.

"Where are you?" She sighed.

"A-at Jason's house."

"Who's Jason?" She asked.

"Mom. I fuckin got my period. Pick me up." I barely got out as I'm still drunk.

"Alright. I'm on my way, but you're in a hell of a lot of trouble and have you been drinking?" She asked.

"Mom!"

"On my way." She sighed again.

Getting my period at a party. Just my luck.

I rolled out of bed and held my head as I walked in to the bathroom.

I took out my ADHD meds and downed the entire bottle.

TRIGGER WARNING

Life sucks. I thought as I sat on the toilet, pulled down my shorts, and dragged my blade over my thighs.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Ten cuts.

Blood poured down my leg.

I lied down on the floor as I started to get dizzy.

Demi's POV:

"Emily. Are you coming downstairs soon baby girl. It's your birthday. We've got a big day ahead of us." I said over the intercom.

No response.

I walked upstairs to her room.

I knocked on the door.

No response.

"Alright baby. I'm coming in." I said as I opened the door.

"Emily?"

Still no response.

"Emily? What are you doing in here?"

"N-n-nothing." She whispered.

"Emily!" I said as I opened the door.

Her poor fragile body was laying on the floor shaking.

"Baby."

I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

911: What's your emergency?

Me: My daughter's laying on the floor shaking.

My eyes suddenly caught the empty bottle of pills sitting beside her.

Damn.

911: What was that ma'am?

Me: She downed an entire bottle of pills.

911: We'll be right over. What's your address?

Me: 1234 Westbrook lane.

911: Alright.

They hung up.

"It's okay baby." I said as I picked her up and carried her downstairs. I placed her on the gurney and hopped in to the ambulance.

Emily's POV:

My eyes shot open.

"Wh-where am I? Wh-where's my mom?" I said as my eyes wandered the room.

"You're in a hospital. You tried to kill yourself?"

"And you didn't let me die? I fucking wanted to die?" I screamed.

"Oh good. You're awake." Demi said as she entered the room.

"I fucking wanted to die. Screw y'all for 'saving me'"

"Happy birthday." Demi said, tears filling her eyes.

"I want to die." I stated.

"I know baby girl." She rested her hand on my hand.

"On top of that, I'm on my period."

Demi giggled a little.

"Demi! This isn't funny!"

"She's going to have to go to the psychiatric unit for three days and then we'll see how she's progressed." The doctors told my mom.

"I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy!" I said as they placed me in a wheelchair.

"I know baby. I'll see you in a few days." Demi said as they wheeled me out of the room.

Well, that's that. I'm on my way to hell for the next few days.
