When the alarm went off at seven, Light reached his arm out to switch it off then he wrapped one arm round my shoulder. "So, what happened last night?"he asked. My face crumpled a little, it was such a sad dream to me. "I dreamed that...we both got caught..and you..died,"I mumbled. Light slowly frowned at that then pulled me closer and kissed my forehead. "We won't get caught, and that's a promise my love,"he said. He then sighed a little. "Besides, it won't be you who gets in trouble. It would be me." I clenched Light's shirt and buried my face into his chest. "Please don't leave me. Please don't die,"I whispered sadly. I suddenly hated the thought of never seeing him again. Light whispered in my ear,"I already promised you, I won't." He kissed my ear then we stayed cuddled for ten minutes.

When he got out of bed I did too but he sat me back down. "(Y/N), you might still be ill,"Light said. "That could have been a fever dream." I stood back up. "Light, I feel fine,"I insisted. It was only the panic attack that made me feel temporarily sick, it passed long ago. He sighed but let me get ready. I felt comfortable changing in front of him now, but I felt a little shy if he gave me quick glances.

Light's P.O.V

She had a dream of me dying. I hated seeing her so sad but I couldn't help feeling a little happy too, she wants me. I won't let that nightmare become reality. We won't part until I die of old age. I need to kill Ryuga first, he was probably the cause of her nightmare, I can't have him spying on us any longer. I watched as (Y/N) folded her tie while standing in front of the mirror. I wish she'd stay home. I felt much more relaxed when she stayed here the first week, I always worry when she's at school.

When we got to school, Ryuga was a little quiet all day, he didn't even show up in the morning. Light told me he must be planning something but I couldn't imagine what. How would he get the secret out of us? I had sad and scary thoughts of an interrogation, I'm not good at lying, I wouldn't be able to last long. I felt miserable when I thought about my exams tomorrow, I've still had no where near enough studying. Everything seemed so gloomy today, there were even grey clouds blocking out the sun, we didn't go outside at break in case it rained.

Ryuga decided to sit with us again in our final lesson. Light and I were reading out of the same text book, he finished every page minutes before me but he was patient. Ryuga watched us, I guess he was observing our relationship? He eventually cleared his throat and said,"I'm glad to see you're feeling better (Y/N)." I wriggled a little uncomfortably in my chair and nodded. I mentally cursed myself again, I was making it so obvious of how worried I am when he's talking to me. Light glared at him like he did yesterday, I was afraid he'd be angry at me too for messing everything up.

The clouds had moved away when school ended, Light and I were walking incredibly slow, a lot of students were out of sight now. I looked down at the ground while walking and swallowed, will he just punish me now I've likely raised suspicion? I decided I should apologise, maybe he won't be so mad. "Light....I'm..I'm sorry for ruining everything yesterday, our chances of getting out of this has weaken,"I said, my voice cracking. I felt his hand hold onto mine which surprised me a little.

"It's okay (Y/N), and I told you already, we won't get caught,"Light reassured me. He squeezed my hand for comfort and carried on walking. I still felt bad though, I wouldn't smile despite his reassurance. I also felt sad because of the exams tomorrow, I was feeling the opposite of confident. I sighed. "It's not fair, how come you're so smart,"I groaned. Light raised an eyebrow,"Hm?" I sighed again. "I'm going to fail the exams tomorrow,"I said.

He poked my cheek. "Cheer up (Y/N), still need some math tips?"he asked. I shook my head,"It's pointless, I'll just forget everything." Light paused for a moment to just pat my head sadly, I ducked my head lower, feeling ashamed from those times I never payed attention in lessons. "Well, I'll help you as much as I can when we get home,"Light said. I just shook my head. "No, this is my problem, I don't want to waste your time, you have perfect grades,"I said. Light didn't give up. He tried poking my lips up into a smile as we continued walking, but when he let go I still had a frown on my face, and I forced myself to look even more upset. It made Light chuckle though. "Now there's a grumpy face, watch out it doesn't get stuck like that,"he warned me. It was a lame thing my parents always told me when I was in a mood, but I found it kinda funny this time and my lips quirked into a small smile. We both chuckled quietly and held hands again.

It reminded me of a time I told my mum the same thing, one time a bee flew in the kitchen and swarmed around her ear, she accidentally dropped a china plate and got frustrated from how expensive it was, but I just watched and warned her about her face staying that way, she eventually just laughed it off in the end. I told Light this story but he didn't seem to have any funny ones of his own to tell me back. He eventually tried cracking some jokes instead. He swung our arms back and forth thoughtfully, taking his time. "Okay, what's brown and sticky?"he asked me. I already knew the answer since I'd heard it a million times before, mainly from Christmas crackers. "A stick,"he said before I could answer. I looked up at him and gently punched his arm,"Yeah, that was a crap joke."

He just chuckled again to himself. "Yeah, I'm not very good at this am I? Okay, here's another one-"
"I don't think humour is your thing Light,"I giggled. He just sighed softly in defeat but smiled. "Okay, teach me what's funny,"he challenged. My eyes swivelled towards a pile of mud beside him, I smirked mischievously from the idea. "Okay,"I said. I quickly nudged him hard to the side so he stood on some mud, he blinked in confusion for a second making me splutter, I then hastily ran off while laughing. We then started up a chase, I ran all the way home with him right behind me while I squealed my head off in excitement.

Just before I reached his house I felt him grab my arms from behind. "Got you,"he whispered in my ear. "I win." He turned me around so I was facing him then he kissed me softly at first. He pinned me to the wall and whispered in a joking way,"Bad girl. You can't run away from me." Light then kissed me hard for a minute before lifting me up in his arms bridal style and taking me indoors. It looked like no one was home.

He carried me effortlessly all the way upstairs while I squirmed in his arms and giggled. Light threw me on the bed making me squeal then he pounced on top of me in a predator-type way, it seemed to excite me a little. He pinned my hands down before kissing my neck roughly, I lied back and accepted it, it felt nice. He then kissed my lips passionately, his tongue darting into my mouth to start wrestling my own tongue, and of course, he won.

Things got heated quickly, his hips started moving on mine excitedly making me bite my lip. Light broke the kiss and leaned his forehead against mine while panting. "Tell me you love me,"Light commanded. I smiled. "I love you,"I whispered. Light then licked my cheek lustfully, his hand made it's way down to my skirt then I finally gathered my senses, he was horny. I stopped him before he could pull it down. "Wait....Light I-I don't think I'm ready for that..."I mumbled. I then felt bad for leading him up to that, I didn't know he was wanting to do this. To my relief, he moved his hand away and sighed softly. "I understand my love, maybe another time,"Light said, he winked cheekily at the end of his sentence to make me giggle again.

We carried on making out instead, this time gently. He stroked my hair and rubbed my back while doing so, he pulled away what felt like hours later when he was satisfied. "You're perfect,"he whispered sweetly. I looked down and mumbled sadly,"No I'm not." Light lifted my chin so I was looking him in the eye,"You are, how many times will I have to tell you? I love you (Y/N)." I snuggled up to his chest, feeling emotional from how kind he was being. "I love you too,"I whispered.

He always wrote at least one whole page of criminals a day so he got up off the bed to do so. Before he got to writing, he patted his lap while looking over at me, signalling me to sit with him. I gladly did what he wanted and rushed over to his desk and let him sit me down on his lap. Light rested one hand on my waist and used his other hand to start writing.

I felt great. With (Y/N) in one hand and the notebook in the other, I felt unstoppable. I've got the girl I wanted, and I've got the power I craved. I wish we could sit like this forever. When she's with me right now, I have the urge to protect her more, I just need her to be with me at all times.
