Tumblr Request: Jason x SO where Jason meets his SO's baby?"

---

Jason was nervous, he fidgeted with his jacket while looking in the mirror. Running his hands through his hair in an attempt to tame it. He'd been on about 5 dates with you by now, but this one is different. He is heading to your place to meet your son. Now, [S/n] is only 6 months old and doesn't really have the capability to judge anyone yet but Jason was still nervous.

He wanted to ask you to be his girlfriend, but he knew he'd have to win your son over before you'd even consider it. And the idea of not being with you, terrified him. So, with a deep breath, Jason grabbed his keys and headed out of the apartment to his bike.

When he got to you apartment, Jason hesitated for a moment before letting his knuckles rasp on the door. He fiddled with the little stuffed elephant in his hands while waiting for the door to open, and itdidn't take long to hear the click of the lock and for the door to be pulled open.

He was greeted by your lovely smile and couldn't help but smile back. "Hey" he hugged you gently before returning the kiss you gave him. "Hi, come in." You had taken his hand and led him through the doorway, but Jason gave your hand a gentle squeeze causing you to stop. Your eyebrows furrowed, but you knew what was wrong. "You're nervous aren't you?" His eyes met yours and he smiled a little sheepishly. "I just..I want him to like me." Your smile was comforting and Jason leaned into your touch when you cupped his cheeks. "He will, I promise. I've been speaking very highly of you."

Jason chuckled, nodding he reached up to take your hand. "Okay, I'm slightly more ready now." After giggling, you led him into the living room where [S/n] was sitting up on his own and watching videos of nursery rhymes on the TV.

Jason hesitantly went over and sat down, causing the boy to look at him. His eyes went back and forth between you and the man in front of him. "Hi little man" Jason caught his attention. "I'm Jason, I know your mom." [S/n] just stared at him blankly, his little mouth slightly agape as he observed the man in front of him. Jason would be lying if he said he wasn't currently terrified of this six month old. Though after a few seconds a big smile spread on [S/n]'s face, his arms flailed as he giggled and reached out for Jason.

Surprised, Jason looked back at you to see your warm, comforting smile. "You can pick him up if you want Jace." He looked back at your soon who was now reaching for the stuffed elephant in Jason's hand. He chuckled and handed it to him and [S/n] squealed in delight. "You like that?" [S/n] hugged it in response and Jason smiled, "Good, I'm glad."

You walked over and sat next to Jason, [S/n] looked at you and extended the elephant to you. "Thank you sweetheart" You took it from him, but as soon as you took it [S/n] reached for it again for you to give it back. Both Jason and you laughed as he flailed the toy around again.

Reaching out, you picked up your son and put him in Jason's lap. "Just hold him up like this." You maneuvered Jason's hands in the right way to support him. "Can you keep playing with him while I warm up a bottle?" Jason looked over at you before nodding, he couldn't help but smile as your son babbled and played in his lap. And honestly, neither could you. After pecking Jason on the cheek, you got up and went to the kitchen.

Jason continued to play and entertain [S/n], things seemed to be going fine until [S/n] started wailing out of the blue. "Uhh, no no, it's okay." Jason tried to bounce and distract him from whatever was upsetting him. He was beginning to panic as [S/n] only cried harder at everything he tried. When you came back in from the kitchen, you giggled a little at the look of desperation on Jason's face. "I don't know what I did."

"He's just hungry and tired. He hasn't napped yet today." You walked over and picked him up out of Jason's lap. Sitting on the couch, you held the bottle up to his lips and immediately your son began eating. Jason sighed in relief and joined you on the couch, watching you feed [S/n] and listen to you humming softly. He looked at you with such admiration, he hadn't ever felt this way about anyone.

He stayed quiet as you stood up and carried [S/n] to his crib in the nursery, laying him down after he fell asleep in your arms. Jason smiled when you joined him in the living room again, holding your waist as you sat in his lap, facing him. Your hands gently stroked his cheeks, "You're really good with him."

"But he started crying when I had him."

"He's a baby Jay it's how he communicates, it doesn't mean he doesn't like you. He just was hungry." You giggled a little and let your hands slide down to his neck. Jason watched as you gazed at him, meeting a tender kiss when you leaned in. He listened to you sigh before you said, "I'm really happy he likes you, and you like him."

He smiled, "Why do you say that?"

"Because I like you, a lot. But [S/n] comes first in my life, so to know that he likes you and vice versa, it's a weight off my shoulders." Jason smiled at you and rubbed your sides. "I like you a lot too [F/n]. I um, I actually wanted to ask you something today as long as things went well."

"What is it?" Your head tilted slightly in confusion, and Jason smiled at how adorable it was. "I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend."

It took the words a moment to process but Jason felt relief wash over him at the smile that pulled at your lips. You leaned in and kissed him feverishly before pulling back and gazing at him again. "Nothing would make me happier."
