She was an angel indeed.
Kind hearted, hopeful, and gorgeous. Just like an angel.
But we all know angels belong in heaven.
A sigh escaped my lips as we walked on the white sand. I smiled as I saw y/n looking at the sea in awe.
The sea was beautiful indeed. It was shining. The sun's light was illuminating the water causing the water to look like it had glitters.
"it's beautiful isn't it?" I asked and she hummed weakly.
"w-wah! Let's go sit there!" she stated while pointing at a specific spot. I tightly held her hand as she weakly ran.
"Yah slow down jagi."
Once we sat down the white sand, she rested her head on my shoulder "wah look, the sun's so beautiful" she stated like a child, making chuckle.
The sun was indeed beautiful. It was slowly going down, making it more mesmerizing. Sunset. I looked at her and smiled, seeing her eyeing the sun with glittering eyes.
She always loved sunsets. We both did.
Sunsets has a very important place in our hearts.
Because this was where we met and this was the same place we became official.
[flashback]
"Jin-ah!" a voice screeched, making me turn around. Suddenly becoming nervous, I turned around and smiled.
Then, I saw her with a smile that could almost light up the whole world. A smile that I love so much.
"Y/n-ah." she walked towards me, the smile not dissappearing.
"I-i have something to say." i stuttered, causing her to tilt her head to the side cutely.
"What's wrong?"
"I-i....."
"It's okay oppa. Just say it. I wont be mad I promise." she uttered and raised her right hand. I chuckled at her childish actions.
I sighed deeply, suddenly finding courage.
"I-i like y-you y/n-ah" I nervously said and looked up to see her reaction.
But as I did, all my hopes came crashing down.
Her smile slowly faded and she wore a surprised expression.
"I-it's okay. I-it's okay if you don't like me back. I just couldn't keep it to myself anymore. I'm sorry--" My words halted as I saw a soft smile plastered in her pink lips.
"You didn't even hear me out yet, Seokjin-ah."
"o-oh"
"I like you too."
[flashback end]
Her smile.
Her smile that could light up the whole world.
Was slowly losing its light, it's brightness.
She was slowly fading away.
I knew that, but I had to accept it even though it hurts right?
I have to.
She's an angel fallen from above.
And as the angel she is, she's going back.
Because maybe god needs her.
The sun is almost gone. Just like y/n. I looked at her.
Tears welled in my eyes as she was smiling even though she knew it was time. Her pale body slowly getting weaker. Her eyes slowly getting heavier.
Suddenly, our conversation earlier had played in my head.
"Jin-ah." she weakly called.
"I want to go to the beach and watch the sunset."
"but baby, you know that-"
"yes, I know. And that's why I want to go there. We first met there right? We became official there. So that place is very important for me. For us. That's why I want to spend my last hours and my last breathe there, with you."
By now, I was already sobbing. She weakly held my hand as she looked up at me. I cried even more as she smiled at me.
A tear fell from her eyes as she slowly closed them. But before her last breathe, she muttered words that never failed to make me feel loved.
"I love you seokjin-ah"
And as the sun went down fully, her body fell limp beside me.
I called her name a ton of times as I bought her lifeless body to my lap.
"Goodbye y/n. I'm sorry. I hope god takes care of you there my angel."
"And I love you too"
