My love, it's been years but my love for you is still strong. She thought as she looked up at him with eyes that pleaded. Pleaded for his attention. His love.

"My love, what happened to the both of us?" she whispered and held his hand. "Am I not enough for you anymore?" he looked away and avoided her eye contact.

"No. You were more than enough." he started as he backed away. "That's why I've had enough of it. I've had enough of your love" he continued and looked behind him. She followed his gaze and her heart broke.

It was her. It was her best friend. Her best friend that she loved dearly. Her sister. She was looking down, maybe ashamed of the fact that she had fell in love with her best friend's boyfriend. And he fell in love too.

Y/n knew they did nothing to each other. They didn't seduce each other. They just naturally fell in love. And that fact bought more pain to her aching heart.

She closed her eyes and paused for a moment.

Maybe I should just let him go. Not for me, but for the people I love and care for.

And that is them.

"My love," she called and he turned towards her. "I'm letting you go." she whispered as tears streamed down her pale and once chubby face.

"I'm letting you go because I love you. So much. I'm not going to hold a grudge against the both of you because you both are the only ones I have. Please. I beg you. Let us all stay as friends and forget that this ever happened. That there was an us" she finished and whimpered.

She looked up and ran towards him, hugging him tightly. My love, you'll forever stay in my heart. But sadly, I can't be there for you physically. Because someone else already is.

And she let go. Feeling herself getting weaker, she looked up for the last time and smiled. Her smile fell a bit upon seeing his face with tears. She then softly smiled and bought her shaking hands up to his face.

Slowly, she wiped his tear stained cheeks. "For the last time, Just for the last time, Please hold me close. Hold me close like you still love me." and he immediately hugged her back, his face buried in her neck. When they parted, she backed away, taking a step backwards.

"Don't cry, my love. Please take care of yourself and your world." she looked behind him and he nodded. She then went near him, placing both of her hands on his shoulder. She leaned towards his ear and slowly, she whispered, "Your love for me may have faded, but my love for you will never disappear." and she stepped back, further from him.

With one last and sincere smile, she turned around, her tears making their way on her cheeks again.

She walked away from them with tears in her eyes and a broken heart.
