"This relationship is pure bull." Taehyung growled, eyes staring deep in yours. "We can't continue this relationship if you know damn well I'm not your first choice!"

You frowned, tears building up your eyes as you breathed out, "What do you mean taehyung—?"

You flinched as he pointed his index finger on you. "You know what I mean y/n." he panted, a tear sliding down his cheek. "I might be your boyfriend, but I'm not who you truly love."

"Taehyung where the hell is this coming from—"

"From you." he cut off, another tear sliding down his cheek. "Your eyes are giving it all. Right from the start, he's the one you love. He's the one you want to be with for the rest of your life."

"And not me."

You turned to jungkook, remembering taehyung's words. It was just a month ago, so the memories are still fresh to your mind. He hasn't talked to you ever since, but he didn't break up with you too.

You were confused and hurt. You needed closure. Although you know that there was already an obvious answer, you still needed closure.

It was true. You were dating taehyung but jungkook was the one you truly loved. Right from the start. But something held you back. Everything held you back.

That something being that jungkook is your step brother.

Everything was complicated. And you had no one to talk to. No one knew about the conversation you had with taehyung. They'd just think your stupid. Which is maybe true.

"Hey, you okay?" you glanced at jungkook and he smiled at you, his eyes shining. "Your ice cream is melting."

"Right." you smiled, and began eating it.

You loved him. Even before your mother married his father. You were already falling for him as yours and his families were friends.

"Is this right jungkook?" you whispered, looking straight at his eyes. "Are we really allowed to do this?"

He stayed silent, staring back at you. Then, he sighed, looking down at his lap. "I don't know." he said. "But what I do know is that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

"Even if it means hiding forever."

You didn't use taehyung. You love him. Or atleast that's what you think. He deserved better. He deserves someone that will love him. He deserves someone that will treat him like he is the first choice.

"Right y/n? That's what you want too right?" you snapped out of your trance and nodded.

"Yes. Of course."

You both walked side by side, hands tightly holding. No one was here anyway. No one will see.

You stopped, facing the large body of water in front of you. You breathed in, smiling to yourself. You didn't want to think of anything yet. You just wanted to be at peace.

"What are you thinking?" jungkook smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "You seem bothered."

"Is it because of our situation?" you faced him.

"It's bothering me jungkook?" you whispered. "What if they found out about us?"

"They won't." he whispered, softly hugging you and placing his head at yours. "I assure you."

Of course, sinful secrets are always meant to be told.

or else, the burden it holds will pin you down to where sinners reside.
