"I'm not leaving you."
Draco was standing next to Katherine's bed with his arms crossed on his chest, wearing a serious expression on his face.
"Come on, you have to."
"And who's going to force me?"
"I will," said Madam Pomfrey. "You're not allowed to stay the night, Mr Malfoy, I'm sorry."
"But what if something happens to her and no one's here?"
"Are you blind, Malfoy?"
The Slytherin turned towards the source of the voice.
The only other person in the Hospital Wing besides Kat was a blonde Gryffindor girl, who also had some problem with her leg.
"Yeah, like you could help her with anything. You can't even get up from the bed yourself."
"That doesn't change the fact that I'm here."
"Please," Madam Pomfrey spoke up again. "You can come and visit her tomorrow afternoon. I can promise you that nothing bad will happen to her."
He just scoffed, looking away and out the window.
"Draco, please," Katherine looked at him with soft, pleading eyes. "I'll be fine."
After letting out a big sigh, he turned his attention back to them.
"Okay, whatever, I'll leave."
"Finally," the blonde girl rolled her eyes.
"And who asked you?!"
"Draco!" The Hufflepuff narrowed her eyes at him.
"What?!"
"Please go back and rest, you have classes tomorrow."
"I could just skip," he shrugged.
"No, you can't do that!"
"Why not?"
"Because!"
"Yes, Kat, that's a valid reason, thank you."
"Would you just get your annoying self out of here?" The girl on the other bed growled. "You're giving me a headache."
"Okay, that's the –"
"Goodbye, Mr Malfoy," Madam Pomfrey said while grabbing his arm and starting to drag him out of the room.
"You can't do this!"
"I actually can."
"Bye Draco!" Katherine waved. "See you tomorrow!"
"Sure, if they let me come back," he gave the lady a side-glance.
"Don't be so dramatic, young man."
After she got him to leave, Madam Pomfrey closed the door, then went back to the girls.
"You two just rest, okay? I'll check up on you later."
They nodded, then she left.
"So..." The Gryffindor girl turned her head towards Kat. "My name is Kenna. Yours?"
"Katherine."
"Nice to meet you. It's your last year here, right?"
"Yeah," she let out a sigh.
"And... How are you handling this whole Marriage Law thing?"
"Well, I was a bit worried at the beginning, but it's not so bad."
