After a week, I was nervous. I hadn't gotten a call from anyone in the band.

Even if I hadn't gotten in, they would've called Tyler to tell me. Tyler would be happy to get another chance to talk to George, anyway.

"Hello sexy." John said.

I groaned.

"Hi John," I said brightly, despite my annoyance.

"So, how did the audition go?" He asked.

I gasped dramatically.

"What's this? John is actually giving a damn about my life and not just staring at my boobs?" I asked.

He nodded.

"It went fine, thank you for asking." I replied.

"But obviously you weren't that good, or you wouldn't be here." He said.

My jaw dropped. John had never been this rude before.

Before I shot back an insult, my mobile went off. I have him a look and I fumbled in my bag nervously. My fingers jumped and shook as I pressed answer.

"Billie?" Ty's voice came through the phone.

"Ty? Any news?" I asked.

"You got the spot, Billie." Ty said quietly.

"WHAT?!" I screamed. I got shushed and got dirty looks from everyone on the building.

"Billie. You got the spot!" Ty laughed.

"Hold on. Can I call you back?" I asked, getting an idea.

After she agreed I hung up and walked over to John.

"Hey John. Can I talk to you?" I asked.

"Sure, babe." He said, flicking my bra strap.

"John, babe," I said, resting a hand on his shoulder. "I just wanted to let you know that..." I leaned in close to his ear, tracing circles on his chest with my fingernail lightly. "You're a dickhead, and I quit." I said, kneeing him in the...well, you know... Yeah.

I walked out of the building feeling amazing. I was leaving this shit job and shit boss behind me.

I was done with this.

I was starting a new life.

I called Tyler back.

"Hey Ty," I said.

"Helloooo Billie," she replied.

"I quit my job," I said.

"Yes! That stupid John give you any crap?" She asked.

"Nah. I just kneed him in the balls and said I quit." I laughed.

She cracked up.

"So...Wow. I got the job. Shit. Who was it that called?" I asked.

"George," She sighed.

"Okay. Let's go out tonight. The boys invited us to go do something with the other backup singer. I don't know who it is, before you ask. You in?" Tyler asked.

I smiled. "Sure. Come over to my house to get ready?" I asked. She agreed and we met at my house.

It was around five thirty, so we had loads of time.

"Want to watch a movie first, we've got ages?" Ty said.

"My thoughts exactly." I laughed.

We sat down to watch Mean Girls with popcorn and chocolate. Perfect.
