You held onto Lilith for a while before you both started to walk again. "So uh... How much farther?" You asked as you scanned the tree tops and noticed that the sun was soon to set.
"Eh... 1-2 hours longer. Depends on pace and you ma'am are slow." Lilith laughed as she walked in front of you.
"Hey uh... Weird question, do you know the inmate Jack?" You asked soon after a long moment of silence.
Lilith tripped over her own two feet when you said that and turned around, "Jack? Eyeless Jack?"
You quickly nodded you head and watched Lilith's eyes widen, "So you are telling me," Lilith spoke as she stepped closer, "The man with no eyes, gray skin and eats human flesh, you seen him?"
You nodded you head slowly, soon stepping back but Lightly just stepped closer, "Were you scared?" Lilith asked. You shook your head no.
"How did you meet him?" Lilith asked and raised a white brow.
"Well, remember the field trip to the prison? Well I asked for a scary, dangerous man. I had no idea he'd be, him. I at first, feared him. Next day I had nothing better to do, no friends, never had one anyways but I just said fuck it, why not? Ya know? I was always alone, I always found out I was being used and the most I could do, was at least make a soul not so lonely. He is always chained up against the wall, his food is just... I don't wanna know. So, why not make a friend with a foe? Maybe I can change him? Maybe in the most minor way but I'm at least making a difference" You finished your speech and lifted your head, allowing your (h/l) (h/c) to fall over your left eye and fall on your shoulders and sit.
Lilith looked at you for a long time, as if debating on something, "Tell me more."
You blinded in surprise and looked around, figuring what to say let alone do, you have no clue what her intentions were but shit, why not?
"Well..." You started, "He is alone, always. His lights in his room burnt out, he honestly is rather nice," You started to smile brightly as you continued on, "He held me, he hugged me, he seemed to not want to let me go. I honestly didn't mind, its not like I'm used to contact but it was nice. I felt warm, safe. Something I'm not used to, something I have never, and I mean never felt before."
"He made me, warm, fuzzy. I know its bad since what he's done but, I cant help it. No one has ever cared, no one has ever been there. No one, Lilith. You started to be my friend, and I'm still confused. I'm lost, I'm unknowingly probably walking into something that will fuck me up more than my parents have and well, I don't know but I just wish to let it happen. I no longer wish to be alone like how I was before.
Lilith nodded and smiled a bit, "Oh? Now can you answer me a few things?" She asked to which you raised a (h/c) brow.
"Did he hurt you?" Lilith asked, you shook your head no.
"Even in the begining when you met?" Lilith asked.
"Well, I sat far enough away, but no." You responded
"Has he.... Told you what he eats, like normally?" Lilith asked
"No..."
"Has he told you to never come back?" Lilith hummed iut, starting to pace back and forth as each question seemed to fly one after another. You shook your head.
After many of many questions later, she was starting to run out if ideas, each one being asked more into depth of specific subjects, one almost falling in the "relationship" category. You answered every one, soon being very curious of why this was being asked.
You had tried a few times to switch topics but Lilith always brought them back and during the one questioned she stared at you, as if reading you and you swear her right eye flashed a different color. You couldn't tell since well, it happened too fast and she kept distracting you left and right by each question and you swear, you will remember to ask after all these questions are done and over with, well hopefully you remember. Sometimes you forget. Well, often enough you do, amd you get off topics easily. "Wait what did she ask me?" You thought in your head soon zoning back into the conversation.
"Did he trust you?" Lilith asked, repeating her questions, "Did he ever threaten to kill you?"
"OK, OK, why all the questions? And yes he does, and yes but, that's when we first met." You spoke out, stepping back and placing your hands in front of you, keeping your distance between you both.
Lilith looked down at your hands then back at you, soon smiling warmly, "Come on then, I have his whole family for you to meet."
Lilith started to walk but you stood there confused, "Wait what?" You soon jogged up behind her, "What do you mean family?"
Lilith laughed, "Well, we are all family. You just aren't meeting ALL of them just, Tim, Brian and Toby."
You followed and soon slowed down, little by little, "Are they like Jack? Like... Murderous?"
"No." Lilith stopped and turned on her heals and faced you as she stuffed her hands into her jeans pockets.
You stood feet away from her, your heart starting to pound in your chest, "Do... You?"
"Well... no." Lilith Laugh and walked up to you, soon playfully nudging you. "Relax girly, we are just odd outcasts." She laughed as you let out a sigh of relief.
"Man you look like you just seen a ghost." Lilith laughed as she looked at you. "Yeah," you responded, "I just got myself scared for nothing. I scared my self."
Lilith laughed as she gently smacked your back "Relax, you are safe."
