"Rowan!!! Get your ass up" Mira yelled from her room down the hall as I just grabbed one of my pillows and held it over my head to drown out her voice.

"Ugh, why does school have to be so early?" I thought as I rolled to my side to see the time on the clock, 7:00 the big red numbers stared back at me as I willed for the time to go back so I could continue to sleep.

I jumped as two loud thumps of someone banging on the door echoed the room before Matty opened the door and walked in of his own accord. "Can I help you?" I asked, still curled up in my blankets, he sat at the edge of my bead and rested his head against the post.

"How high was I yesterday? I feel like someone hit me with a car." He said, bringing a hand up to his face, trying to rub away his hangover. "Well maybe because you were hit by a car. Do you not remember?" I said sitting up a little to get a better look at him. He seemed fine after we put him to bed yesterday but maybe he hit his head a little too hard.

"WHAT!!!" he yelled, his eyes bugging out of his head. "Shh. Too early for yelling." I complained before filling him in on what happened. Matty had chosen to spend the weekend stoned. After we fed the dog yesterday he and Lee proceeded to get high out of their minds.

"When Luke and I came back from buying dog food for luci you ran out of nowhere in the front yard and got hit by my car, we didn't even see you we just felt the impact. After that, we called the doc to check you out and he said you only had a few bruises so we just locked you in your room and told you to sleep it off." I said going through my phone prolonging my getting out of bed for as long as I could.

"Well that explains the big as black and blue on my arm," he said. We just kind of sat there for a few minutes not talking just kinda spaced out until Mira came barging into my room.

"What is it with everyone just walking into my room." I asked looking between her and Matty.

"I don't care. You need to get dressed, you two Matty. Oh, and no one gets food unless they're downstairs, dressed, and ready." She said and left as quickly as she arrived.

"Ugh, Fine." Matty groaned before walking out, closing the door behind him. "Guess that means I have to get dressed now." I said to myself, throwing my covers off and walking to my bathroom to pee and brush my teeth.

"Ugh, what am I gonna wear?" I thought as I started looking through my closet. It wasn't that I didn't have anything to wear, it was that I didn't know how much effort I actually wanted to put into my appearance.

Eventually, I chose a pair of black ripped jeans with a gray knitted crop top that tied behind my neck. I went neutral for my make-up for the most part except for a light maroon matte lip. For my hair, I went with a double French braid.
