Hello! I'm sorry about the crap updates and last chapter. It was kind of a filler chapter but it'll get better I promise! I've got some really great ideas for this story!

Brynn's P.O.V.

We've been sitting in this car for an hour now and questions just hit me.

Where is Zito taking me? Do I still even have my apartment anymore? I'm sure I was fired from my job cause the, you know, not showing up part.

You think they would take the excuse of "Sorry I was kidnapped by the Italian mafia and force to fight for them but then got kicked out because of my big mouth?"

No? I didn't think so either.

"Zito? Where are you taking me?" I ask hesitant to learn the answer. He couldn't be taking me to my moms cause even I don't know where she is.

"Your apartment." He says as if I was suppose to already know that.

"But I haven't paid my rent and I'm sure I don't have a job now to pay my rent." I mean I know he lives with like 20 other dudes funded by the mafia but he should know that I had to pay bills.

"Oh yeah we took care of that for you. When you were captured, Mauro paid your rent till the end of next year and told your job you had to leave due to a family emergency." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "It's weird actually. Mauro only did this with you. I asked him why didn't he do it with anyone else in the mafia but he just changed the subject every time. That's one of the reasons we thought he had a thing for you." Zito explains to me while tapping on the steering wheel.

I just scoff to myself thinking about Mauro possibly having a thing for me. As if. He's a rude, egotistical, judgmental, piece of crap.

I cross my arms turning to face the road we're driving on. I see a sign saying "Welcome to New York the city that never sleeps." Thank god I'm back home. We're probably about another hour out from my apartment.

When I get home I'm gonna get myself a new phone, since mine was left behind when I was captured, get my toes done, and wax my eyebrows. I feel as if I need distractions. My heart is still hurting from leaving my friends back at the house. I roll my eyes at the thought of the friends I left here. They don't compare to Luca, Zito, and Enzo. I bet no-one even reported me missing, some friends.

We turn on my street and I start to get flash backs of the day my life got turned upside down. I looked at the exact point where I flipped Enzo and gave him a concussion for a week. Then I see Zito pulling up in the black Jaguar getting out and grabbing me with the other three men. I can feel my eyes stinging, since oddly what I thought was the worst day of my life, turned to be the best day. The day I met my guys.

I feel the car stop.

"Alright. Here we are. Casa de la Brynn." Zito says putting the car in park. "Do you need help taking your stuff upstairs?" He turned his body a little bit towards me giving me his full attention.

"No. I think I got it." I say with a deep breath. I lung forward at Zito embracing him with a knot in my throat. "Thank you, for everything. You've been nothing but a great friend to me and I wish the outcome would be different." My voice muffled from my face in his shoulder.

I feel his breathing become uneven and his body is shaking. Is he crying?

"Zito?" I ask waiting for a reply.

"Don't talk about it." Is all he says before letting out a small sob.

We break our hug and just give each other understanding nods with sad smiles. I step out of the car with my duffle bag in hand. I shut the door still keeping eye contact with Zito as he turns to put the car in drive. He gives me one last look and a wave goodbye before he drives off leaving me there on the side of the road.

I take a deep breath and turn to the entrance of my building walking towards the key pad. I enter in my numbers, thinking to myself I have to change those numbers soon. I have to get more creative with my codes.

I walk myself up to my apartment and open the door that was already unlocked. I guess I forgot to lock it when I left the day I was taken. Hopefully all my stuff is still there. I close my eyes as I open the door semi praying all my stuff is still there. I squint my eyes to see my furniture, tv, and everything else seemed to be in order. I look over on my kitchen counter to see the rotten daffodils had sat there the whole month I was gone with the note James wrote me right next to them.

They smelt unbearable. I plugged my nose and chucked those bad boys in the trash after flushing the mildewy water out of the vase they were in. I go further in my kitchen and can't believe I see with my eyes. My phone sitting there in all its glory without a scratch on it.

One of the guys must of grabbed it when I was captured and put it in my apartment. I grab my phone off the counter and see it's beyond dead. I plug it up to the charger and wait for it to turn back on. While I'm waiting I enter my room and fling my duffle bag from my shoulder and onto my bed, getting ready to unpack my bag.

I unzip the bag and the first thing I see is one of Enzo's big t-shirts that I used as PJ's when I was at the house. I pull it up to my face and I could still smell my other room on it. I miss the smell of my other room. I had lavender candles hidden everywhere so it smelled like lavender every time I stepped foot in my room.

I only got to unpack that one T-shirt before I decided to take a shower. I start my water turning it to pretty much the hottest setting and remove my clothes. I have been wearing the same thing since the bust this morning. The smell of gunpowder and sweat was all over me and I can't wait to wash it off.

I step in the hot shower letting the water relax my muscles. This day felt like it was four days long. I'm already starting to miss everything. I miss my other room and my other bed. I miss the fact that there was always someone walking by my door. I miss having dinners with all the guys almost every night. Its lonely living by yourself. You just don't realize it until you have people to share your living space with.

After finishing up my shower I walk out of the bathroom with my towel on. I changed into Enzo's shirt and put some clean underwear on. I'm feeling hungry since I haven't freaking eaten anything practically all day.

I head over to my pantry and see everything is expired except for one thing, Ramen Noodles. I grab the chicken flavored sodium bomb from my pantry and start to boil water. I can see out of the corner of my eyes my phone lights up indicating, its charging now. I wonder how many notifications I have since I've been away from my phone for a whole month. I grab my phone and unlock it expecting it to be bombarded with alerts.

Nothing.

Wow. Seriously? I've been gone for a fucking month and no one noticed.

I fucking hate everyone.
