How would you react when the person you had one night stand with is actually the emperor of the country and you're the only one who's not a family member that knows about the emperor's secrets?
"How is she?" I asked my the doctor. She looks at me with a smile on her face.
"She's going to be fine, Alvia. We manage to get the bullet out of her so she needs to have a long rest until the wound is fully heal." That's good news. I never been so worried about someone before. And she's just a stranger I met in a club.
"You seem a bit worried for someone you just met. Is there something going on between you and Lady Kathryn?" I look up to her with a smile.
"I'm just being a good samaritan. Did you inform her family about this?" She shake her head no.
"Annabelle said she's going to personally pick her parents up and bring them here. She is Annabelle's responsible after all." That's true. If that's the case, I should get going since I have to make sure that none of this ever happen again.
Their safety is my concern and Kathryn got hurt because of my fault. I decided to touch her hand before excusing myself. Frederick who stayed outside the room went to my side when he saw me walking out from the room.
"Do you want to change your clothes?" I look down and nod. What was I thinking? Barging into the forest like that and risking my own life for her. When we were informed, I didn't think much except for their safety.
Especially Kathryn.
She never receive intensive training in the military like the others. Maybe they never serve as a soldier but their living condition provided them with basic self defence. They know how to take care of themselves.
"Any leads that may tells us who sent them into my forest?" I asked when we walk across the hallways that lead us to my room.
"Not really. But Lady Luna mentioned something that gained my attention. She said that she might've know where she saw those two attacker before. But, her memories doesn't do her any good." Luna knows? So, does that mean the attacker was aiming for her all along?
I push the door open to my bedroom and went to my closet to have a change of clothes.

"Alvia ... do you think the Resistance may have infiltrate your security personnel? I do have a few concerns about the new recruit. And the scary thing is, we don't have any way to know if they're from the that group even." I smiled when I heard his concern.
"Fred, maybe they believe in the Resistance teaching but we have something they don't," I said while changing my clothes.
"And what would that be?" Fred asked when I walk out from the closet while putting my coat.
"Kindness. We should treat everyone equally. It doesn't matter where they're from. Even if you're nobility or just a commoner, everyone is the same." I place all the accessories and my family crest on.
"Do I look presentable enough?" I asked my advisor. He gave me a thumbs up and open the door for me.
"Do you want to meet Kathryn's parents?" Fred suddenly asked. Should I? Maybe I should. She got hurt while she's in my care after all. But, with my packed schedule for today, I can't simply make my appointments wait for me.
