THIRD PERSON POV

"Who gave you permission to stop working! Get to work!" An innocent man who was just trying to breathe after working for such long hours was whipped by his supervisor.

"Do you wish to see your family being kill?!" The innocent man shakes his head no vigorously.

"Then get back to work!" The supervisor scream at the top of his lungs. At this moment, the innocent man are then regret ever thought to join the Resistance was a good idea. He is one of the many former citizens of Gralia that blindly trusted the word of a crazed man, Sir Nicholas.

"Hey, Nate. You shouldn't stop. Just fight through it. Our shift is almost over," The innocent man or Nate nods his head. He continued to finish up cutting the wood that supposedly used to build more houses for those who join the group recently.

"If only they knew how fucked up this is, they wouldn't be joining. Sometimes I do wish that Emperor Alvia would miraculously barge into that door and save us," Nate said while his limbs work on the task at hands.

"It's our own fault that we ended this way. Now that I have lived through this ideology that they made us think it's better than the ones that young emperor introduced to us, I honestly think that the emperor does have what it takes to lead us even though he's young," Nate nods his head.

They're being wary when they saw the supervisor walking past their station.

"If you two decided to continue speaking like that about our supreme leader ideology, something bad will happen to you and your family. We have decided to live like this! So just shut your mouth and do your job!" Said another man who has been eavesdropping.

Both Nate and the others were clearly pissed but they know better than to cause any more unwanted attention to them.

After their long hours of working at the factory, it's finally time for them to go home.

"I'm home!" Nate shouted when he walks into his house.

"Welcome home, dad," Nate smiles at his eldest daughter who's getting the table ready for dinner.

"Welcome home, honey," Nate then smiled at his wife who's carrying a few dishes from the kitchen.

"Where are your brothers, Aphelia?" Aphelia shrugged her shoulders. She hasn't seen her brothers since she got home from school. Nate turned to his wife.

"They went to the park. They'll be home soon," Nate was glad. He then went to the dining table and careful not to show how in pain he is from the whipping he got from earlier.

His wife noticed how he's flinching whenever he tried to move but she didn't say anything because she doesn't want to get her daughter to work up again.

"How was school?" Nate asked his daughter who took the seat next to him.

"They told us how the current emperor is using Gralia's resources for his own gain. Is really what is going on at the empire? Is the emperor that evil?" Nate turned to his wife who kept her head down.

"Aphelia. It's best if you don't speak that way in public or the officers will hear you. Nothing good ever happens to those who defiance the supreme leader," Aphelia wasn't happy with her father's answer.

"Why did you guys choose to be here?" Aphelia asked completely ignoring the situation.

"Aphelia, that's enough. Your father has just come home from work. Let him eat, okay?" Her mother tries to reason but they both know their daughters too well. She won't stop asking such a question until she got the answer she wants.
