Look I'm sorry if I sound rude but here.
The activity chain is a course of wether you are active and reply to the activity chain as well as doing your nightly action. If you fail to do either you get a strike. If you get three strikes your character WILL DIE.
You can remove a strike by replying to the activity chain and doing your nightly action.
The span of three days is three chapters. And if you fail to reply to the activity chain in the span of three chapters OR fail to do your nightly action, you will get a strike.
Does this clear up some things??
