"Thanks, Taylor," Amelia said as he put her luggage down in the entrance hall. Alex was still on his way, apparently caught in traffic as he came back from a visit he'd done to a military base. So she headed up with her luggage and decided to get settled in already as she went back down and started dinner with whatever she could find. His butler Michael had told her that she didn't need to make dinner, but she wanted to as he helped her out with getting the thing she needed. And then he was off to wherever he stayed in the building, she had no idea when he would be back though as she sent him a text.

"I'm settled in, hope you're here soon." she sent him a text and she got one quickly in return. 'I'll be home in twenty minutes, I missed you, I can't wait to come home to you.' came the reply as a smile grew on her face as she finished up dinner, before decking his living room and kitchen in candles. She heard the door shutting down to where she was and she knew he was home. "Hey love." she heard his voice as she turned around with a grin on her face. Her eyes couldn't help but run over his frame as he was dressed in his military uniform. She'd always had a weak spot for a man in uniform and my god did Alex make it look great.

"liking the view?" he asked her as a blush rose to her cheeks at being caught as he started to walk up to her. "Look all you want sweetheart, it's all yours," he whispered, wrapping his arms around her, his one hand cupping her cheek as he closed the gap between their lips, her hands finding their way into his hair and on his back. "I missed you," she whispered, dropping her head against his as she closed her eyes for a split second. Taking comfort from just being near him and being in his arms. "I missed you, two love," he whispered, running his thumbs back and forth on her waist.

"just let me get out of this uniform and I'll be back to enjoy whatever you prepared," he promised her as he kissed the top of her head before leaving the room as she put the pots down on the table. What they hadn't expected was a fight to start that evening, they'd just finished eating dinner and were cleaning up together. Her phone was on the kitchen island as the music came from it and the fourth message came in, she couldn't be bothered to look at it. Anyone who knew would warrant a reply knew where she was and that she wouldn't answer tonight.

"Who's Jens?" Alex asked her, curious to see who was texting her so much in such a short time. He knew that if something happened to her grandparents or something serious was happening they'd be calling her and then he remembered that her ex was called Jens.

"Is it your ex?" he asked her as he watched her frame go rigid as she put the their plates in the dishwashers. "Yes, I ran into him last night," she told him as she turned to look at her boyfriend and he raised his brow at her. "And you didn't think to mention it?" he asked her as he noticed that he'd been texting pretty non stop since last week. Even though he couldn't understand what was written, he could see that Amelia hadn't answered that much. Just here and there and felt a stab of jealousy and anger go through him.

"He's been texting you for two weeks now?" he asked her as he watched her drop her head. "Well you can see that I barely answer," she told him as she snatched her phone back from him as she felt the argument coming up. "And you didn't think I needed to know?" he asked her as she shook her head. "It doesn't mean anything, it's not like I start the conversation and I can't help it he showed up last night at the pub when we went out for drinks," she told him in frustration, things had already been frustrating this week. Her family thought it was time to give her another warning and she was sick and tired of it. Then school work was being a bitch, they weren't going to make it an easy final year and then her ex who was constantly bothering her. And she was so not in the mood to have this conversation right now as she leant back against the countertop.
