"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"PRETTY PLEASE WITH YOUR GORGEOUS FACE ON TOP!?"

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

We were sitting outside a cute riverside cafe as Jimmy practically begged me on hands and knees. It was a little too early in the morning for the place to get crowded so I allowed the man to grovel in peace at first but it as begging to get annoying.

"Do you have no shame?" I mocked him, lifting a cup of scalding hot tea to my lips, just the way I like it.

"For you? None!" He counters.

I try to repress my giggle but failed and let it ring out across the crystal blue running water that raced beside us.

It was such a beautiful day. The early morning air was crisp and clean and the city scenery was serene and quiet.

After the disastrous fiasco that happened when Connor was put in charge to look after me, I decided that I maybe did need to go out more but start hanging out with different people.

Unfortunately, the only other person I know around my age is Jimmy, so against everyone's better judgment, I ask him if he'd want to grab tea or coffee in the morning and the absolute mad man came knocking at my door at 5:30 am. Even the Muslims hadn't woken up yet to start their morning prayers!

Although Kal was pleased by Jimmy's timing cause he'd prefer I went out at the buttcrack of dawn then the asscrack of night.

Urgh! Where am I learning all these curse words from?

.

.

.

It must be Wally...I think vehemently.

Then I fight to suppress an involuntary flinch.

Wally...

After Connor's informative-for lack of a better term-text message that the little BASTARD sent TO EVERY SUPERHERO ON THE PLANET! Things have become majorly awkward.

Artemis and the other girl were more than understanding because they knew how malicious the SuperBrat could become but I still couldn't help but notice Artemis' blood pressure rise whenever she caught a glimpse of me.

I confided in M'gann about this and she advised me to lay low for a while and give everyone a chance to process their emotions accordingly.

Although Dick was too stubborn to listen to reason and it's why he's not currently dragging himself, M'gann and Connor to our small coffee table.

The boy just never learns...

And out of the corner of my eye, I see Kaldur'ahm jump out of the river behind Jimmy, well out of his line of sight, and joins the others approaching us as if he'd been with them the entire time.

"I beg you in all the name that is good, pure and holy!... Just like your hair!!!" Jimmy still continues to plead.

"That's still a no," I coldy reply with an evil grin. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying myself IMMENSELY...

"And what is the poor fool begging for this time?" Dick asks as he's the first to arrive at our table and pulls out a seat.

"A pity date" I simply reply.

Dick chair scrapes out of place and he almost topples over as he tries to sit down. I couldn't help but snicker at him. He then turns to glare at Jimmy before saying, "At least have some dignity man..."

"Who needs dignity when I can have heeeeer..." Jimmy counters, quiet openly gawking at me.

"I must admit, the boy makes me feel special..." I unknowingly say out loud then immediately begin to furiously blush.

Before Dick could open his mouth to counter, Connor, who was the last to sit down, very loudly announces his presence by scraping his chair against the ground to disrupt the conversation and aggressively plops down on the plastic chair, quietly nearly breaking the poor thing.

Everyone just quietly looks at him, then we all-me first-turn to look at Dick.

"Su-Clark insisted we bring him because he believes if you and Connor just spend enough time together you'll start to get along better..."

I raise an eyebrow at him. Dick seemly picking up what I wanted to ask next.

"He also added that if Connor doesn't have anything nice to say, then he shouldn't say anything at all. So the man will remain silent throughout the duration of this meeting." Dick finishes cheerfully as if he'd made some sort of grand happy announcement.

All I do in return is give him a cynical smile.

"How are you two related again?" Jimmy asked out of the blue.

"Not important." Dick and I quickly answer in unison.

We eye each other inconspicuously and then mutually look away.

I noticed Dick slightly trip up earlier before when he almost called Kal, Superman. He's suddenly gotten a lot more clumsy ever since the accident where I went to extract him during that mission and he revealed his inner thoughts about me.

Could those even be classified as his inner thoughts? I wondered.

He was obviously stressed out and being in a bad mood was only to be expected. But I sensed there was still some underlying tension between us due to that unresolved interaction.

"We met again Miss Kent" I hear the ever so soft voice of an Atlantian say.

I jump in mild shock of Kal...Kaldur. Dang, it gets confusing having two Kal's in my life...

"Indeed we do, Kaldur." I shyly reply.

I don't know what it was but being in Kaldur's presence made me very very shy.

He was such a shy, sweet and care dude that I couldn't help how my heart fluttered around him.

I was 100% positive that if I didn't have a massive crush on Dick then I'd totally be all over Kaldur.

Or Wally...the unwanted thought snuck in.

I brittle slightly.

I peeked at Artemis who was sitting across from me on Dick's left. She looks happy enough but I couldn't let my guard down.

"Hey, Artemis? Where's Wally?" I casually asked.
