Deceit - Laukaret child (part 1)

The click of feet echoed through blank golden and black halls. Two pairs, one calmly and the other highly rushed.

Boom. Explosion.

A yell rang out from the running person. "RE-E-E-E-M-M-M-U-U-U-S-S-S!" This person barrelled toward the calm pair of feet. This pair of feet belonged to the head scientist of Laukaret science.

The yells of the scientist were muffled by the many yells of fellow employees and the tiny hands of a child that was sat upon her shoulders. Her daughter Caroline.

The mad man, Remus, was followed by his brother, Roman, who felt completely embarrassed. "Uncle Duke! Uncle Prince! I.. AM HERE!" she yelled like the hero from this anime she watched. (Yes. I know Boku no hero academia. Don't judge meee)

"Remus... You... Didn't just blow up some of the chemicals so badly that you set the lab room on fire... Again...." (Y/n) huffed and Caroline jumped off to hug her 'uncle' as she looked at the partially flaming lab room.

A slightly disgusted scoff came from behind the four of you. Revealing itself to be from Logan Croft. One of the second in command at the labs.

He was hated by most, if not, all of the employees for how horrible he was. His assistant, Patton Heartfelt, scurrying along behind him. "Mrs Serpentine. You know full well that children are not allowed in the facility." He began before little Caroline back sassed him for her mother. "Then why do you work here? You have a tantrum if you aren't respected. Not that you deserve it."

The shy assistant stifled a small laugh as Remus and Roman laughed their asses off, (y/n) scolding the child while laughing herself.

"I wonder who she could have gotten that sass from." A cool voice asked from behind as Caroline ran towards it. Turning to the right let Dolus Serpentine into everyone's view.

Caroline giggled before collapsing out of nowhere to the shock of Patton whom began to panic, rushing toward the child. "Caroline.. she's passed out. Again..." The lead scientist sighed.

Clapping her hands everyone got back to work, the previously flaming lab now in a fine condition. (Y/n) walked with her husband to a small room, similar to that of a hospital room.

Although passed out Caroline was fine; The fumes from the flame were faint but enough to knock her out.

"She's going to be fine. She's a Serpentine."
