Pony seemed to know how tense I was due to this topic and changed it. "So what are we doing here?" He asked. "Shouldn't you know! You brought me!" I giggled. "Well, I'll tell you why! Remember when we were 13 and always wanted to do the lantern thing but we really never had time and we always wanted to sneak out?" He asked. I nodded my head, not really knowing where this was going. "Well, over these two years, I've started working at the movie house. I made a promise to you and myself that I would take you to see those lanterns when you came back." He stood up. "Rose Green, welcome to the Lantern lake." He said leading me to the lake.
