"OUR TIME SEEMS TO BE UP FOR TODAY, COURTNEY," Doctor Lynda Caldwell closed her notebook and put her pen away. Courtney, who was sitting on a very cosy couch, hummed in agreement and adjusted her position. During this one hour session, Courtney had gone back to her childhood and had delved in, with her therapist guiding her through that particularly tough journey. She learned more and more about herself and why she did the things she did. She was getting to know herself better and she had never thought it would make her feel this relieved. "You're making process, but this isn't the end for us just yet."

"Oh yeah, I know. I'm not ready to say goodbye to you, doctor Caldwell. There is a lot more that I still haven't even gotten too. As you might have figured out, I'm a pretty complex person with, well, a lot of issues." Courtney smiled, trying to laugh the pain away. She rubbed her hands together, looking away from her therapist.

"Nobody's perfect and there's nothing wrong with that. What's most important is that you ask for help if you are struggling. There are things that we simply can't do on your own. You're incredibly brave by reaching out to someone." Lynda said, with a smile on her lips. She pushed her glasses back as she placed her notebook on her desk behind her. The woman had never ever sat behind her desk during Courtney's session, which often made the girl wonder if the desk was just there for show.

Courtney got off the couch, grabbing her coat and handbag which had been lying next to her. She had some spare time before going to the hospital, meaning that she could take her time and maybe have a coffee at that cafe in front of her therapist's building. She had gone there the last couple of times and the coffee was really good there. "I will see you again next week! And again, thank you."

"There's no need to thank me, Courtney. Have a good week!" Lynda walked her to the door. The blonde was putting on her coat, while moving out of the woman's office. With one last smile, Courtney walked into the waiting room. Another patient was called and the door was being closed again. Once the blonde had checked if she had everything with her, her eyes fell on a familiar face — she had no expected to see them there and couldn't help but be a bit suspicious of their presence.

"Mark? What are you doing here?" Courtney whisper-yelled as she stood in front of him. There was another person in the waiting room besides them, so she tried to remain calm and collected. The girl didn't want to cause a whole commotion. "Don't you think that your 400 dollar an hour shrink would be jealous of you being here?"

"I'm here to visit an old friend. You got a problem with that?" Mark looked up, hiding his surprise of seeing Courtney here. He had heard here and there that the latter had decided to go into therapy, but he hadn't really believed them. Most of the time, the gossip that was spread around was fake, so he didn't want to assume anything.

Courtney squinted her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. The way that he had said old friend had been a bit suspicious. Mark didn't really have many friends and even less female friends —there only worked female therapist in this building. Then the penny dropped and Courtney shivered. "Oh no, please tell me that your so called friend is not my therapist or I might actually puke. I really like her and I don't want to switch therapists, because you slept with mine!"
