Chapter Thirty One - First day at work...

Jamie's P.O.V

Today was Mila's first date working with me, as my assistant which was good timing because my actual assistant is taking time off. I could tell she was nervous as we made our way there, scared in case people think badly of her because of how she got this job. She never had to worry about that though, the people that worked for me and with me were all decent people, wouldn't judge her in that way. It was only temporary anyway until she had enough money or found a more suitable job for herself.

"Baby relax OK? You have nothing to worry about, everyone that works with me are good people, the fact that you are my girlfriend and now my assistant is something they won't judge on OK?" I said leaning over placing my hand on hers.

"Are you sure?" She said

"Positive baby...please relax." I said lifting her hand to my lips kissing it

She seemed to relax a little but I could sense she was still nervous. Today was her first day so she wouldn't be doing too much, just learning the ropes but I know she will pick it up quickly, she always picks things up quickly and is a very smart, intelligent woman. I was looking forward to working with her, was going to be interest and hard for me to stay professional with her around but I was the boss so would need to behave the best I could, that doesn't mean we can't have some fun in my office every now and then.

"What if I am terrible at this? What if I suck at being your assistant?" She said going into panic mode again as we pulled up outside the office building

"You won't be my love...I will be there to help you, you will do just fine." I smiled

"I hope you are right." She said as we parked my car in my spot

I took my seatbelt off, leaning over and placed my hand on her cheek and she looked over at me.

"I am..." I said kissing her softly

She smiled into my lips, it was short and sweet. I pulled away...

"Ready?" I asked

"Yes let's go before I change my mind." She giggled

I got out of the car first, running around to get the door for her, giving her my hand until she got out. I pulled her into me, kissing her again, this time a little harder, making her whimper against my lips.

"Behave! I don't wanna go in there on my first day all hot and bothered." She laughed

"You have a point, come on baby girl." I said slipping my hand into hers.

I could walk in with her like this cause everyone knew who she was. Obviously when I have clients and things in I can act like this, need to stay professional but when they aren't I can do as I please, well to an extent.

"I love you..." I said as we headed for the lift

"I love you too babe." She said kissing my cheek

We arrived at our floor, heading to my office, the both of us saying hello to everyone on the way and I introduced her to the people who have not met her yet. Yes everyone knew of her but not everyone knew her. And just as I told her, everyone was being nice to her and making her feel welcome. It took us a good twenty minutes before we actually got to my office.

"I told you, you would be just fine." I smiled

"Yes they all seem lovely..." She said smiling back "Now let's get to work boss." She added giggling

I hope she doesn't make a habit of calling me that because that would be a little strange coming from her lips even though technically I am her boss.

"Boss? Please do not call me that." I laughed

"How about Sir? Can I call you that?" she said smirking

Now that I can get used to. I stepped into her, my hand on her waist and pulled her close.

"You can call me Sir anytime you want sexy." I said smirking back at her

"Then Sir it is..." She said kissing me "Now it is time to act professional, we can continue this later." She added

It was seven P.M and we were finally done with work and just as I thought she done amazing, picked up on everything quickly.

"How did I do for my first day as your assistant?" She asked as we headed back to the car "And be honest, don't lie to be because we are together." She added

"You done great and that is the complete truth...you are gonna do a good job." I smiled

"Yay!" She said excited smiling brightly at me

"You are too adorable at times my love." I said "How about tonight we go out for dinner? We are dressed in decent clothing so could just go straight for dinner before we head home?" I added

"That sounds good actually and a large glass of wine, well for me...you are driving you can't drink." She laughed

"Don't rub it in..." I laughed shaking my head

"Sorry my love..." She said leaning over to kiss my cheek

"I will forgive you...this time." I laughed "What do you want to eat?" I added

"Hmm Italian I think." She said

"Then Italian you shall get beautiful." I said starting the car

I headed towards our favourite little Italian place, we always went to the same place when we went for Italian...Mila loved the Carbonara from there. It was close to my place to where we would end up tonight anyway. Plus it would give me a chance to talk to her about something.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by name, they knew who we were since we came here a lot. They led us to our usual seats, giving us menus and taking our drink orders before leaving us to it.

"Baby girl can I talk to you about something?" I said

"Um...depends what it is? You have your serious face on." He said

"My serious face?" I laughed and she nodded "OK then, anyway I have been thinking a lot about this and I am just gonna ask." I added

"What is going on in that head of yours?" She asked placing her hand over mine

"I was thinking, well if you wanna maybe you can move into my place? You practically live there already and it would save you money. I would also really like if you stayed with me permanently?" I said nervously

I was hoping she would say yes and not think it was no soon. She sat there in silence for a little longer that I really wanted, taking that as a bad sign...
