Jay's P.O.V

I got a call from Cole. That's surprising, I thought he'll want to be lonely.

"Uh, hi, Cole?" I said through my phone.

"Jay!! I have something to tell you!!! Can you come over?! It's an emergency!!!" Cole shouted from the other side of the phone.

"Alright, bud. I'll come over there now," I said and hanged up.

I start to run out from the van but I accidently run into Zane.

"Oops! Sorry, Zane!" I apologized and opened the door.

"Where are you in such rush, Jay?" Zane asked.

"Well, Cole told me to go over to his house. He said that he had something important to tell me," I replied.

"Alright then. I'll let you be," Zane said and left.

I ran out the door, got on my bike, and petaled to Cole's house.

I finally reached Cole's house and I placed my bike near the door.

I knocked and waited for Cole to show up. I heard footsteps running down some stairs, and then the door swung open to reveal Cole.

"Glad you could come, Jay," Cole said and hugged me.

I hugged him back.

After we broke apart I asked: "What did you want to talk about?"

Cole looked around the streets, probably for something, and then motioned for me to go inside.

I entered and he closed the door.

He went up the stairs and motioned me to follow him, and I did.

We reached his room.

I walked inside and Cole behind me.

"I needed to talk with you about something," Cole said.

"Okay, what it it?" I asked.

Cole sighed. "Before my mom d-died," I stuttered. "She wrote a letter, and it was meant for me..."

I could see the sadness in his eyes.

"Mom told me something I can't even believe!" Cole continued.

"What did she tell you?" I asked.

"Mom told me that I'm a...elemental master," Cole said.

"WHAT?!" I yelled.

Cole covered my mouth.

After he removed his hand, I continued to babble.

"How?! Elemental masters are just myths! How are you an elemental master?! Why are you an elemental master?! What elemental master are you?! Ca-"

"JAY!! Slow down!" Cole said.

"Sorry," I sheepishly said.

Cole took a deep breath.

"I thought elemental masters were just myths, too. Guess not. 1. I'm a elemental master because my mom was one. 2. I'm a elemental master because mom's powers went from her to me. And 3. I'm the elemental master of Earth," Cole said.

"How. Awesome. Is. THAT!!" I exclaimed.

Cole chuckled a little.

"So when are you planning to tell the others?" I asked.

He shrugged.

"Don't know. Probably when we go back to school," Cole said.

He then sighed.

"I miss mom," Cole said.

I put a hand on his shoulder to comfort her.

"Me too, Cole. Even if she's not my mom. She was a nice person," I said.

Cole smiled.
