The sound of miracles. The sound of life. The sound that Katniss survived and I have a child.
I raised my head and slowly climbed from the floor. I couldn't quite process what was happening.
There were multiple doctors around Katniss. Nevertheless, I went in to the room and made my way to her. But slowly. I wasn't just in awe of this baby and shock of the whole prospect, but also scared as well. I hadn't the slightest idea how to be a father to my child.
Katniss saw me and immediately gleamed.
She had our child laid on her bare chest with her night gown covering the baby. I stared at the baby for a few seconds. I just couldn't believe it. I'd created a new life.
I was smiling like I never had before.
Everything was perfect.
Staring at the beautiful human I had made, I felt Katniss touch my hand.
"Meet your daughter. Rose Rue Mellark."
She said.
I had a daughter. Me and Katniss had a daughter.
