So yesterday In Real Life announced that they're going solo and I honestly just feel really overwhelmed by it. I've spent so much time supporting them whether it was staying up later to watch them go live or even waking up early to watch them on a morning show. I spent yesterday crying & watching old videos from the past 2 & 1/2yrs. I know it sounds silly to be so emotional over something like this but I've grown to be really attached to them.
For the past 2 & 1/2yrs these 5 guys have been such a huge part of me. They've taught me so many things from Chance teaching me that hardships are what make us who we are, Brady teaching me that when you work hard enough anything is possible and no challenge is too big, Drew taught me that being who you are is the best way to be, Sergio taught me to love with every part of me and truly be a light to those around me & Conor taught me that in order to grow, you need to accept who you are and use that for greatness. No matter what these guys do, I know it will be great because they are some of the most genuine, hardworking and passionate people I've ever had the privilege of supporting.
I never imagined that 2 & 1/2yrs ago when I was channel surfing and looking for something to watch, I would stumble upon a show that I was determined I wouldn't like. From the first second of Boy Band, I was hooked and these guys have been such a huge part of my every day life ever since. I've been a part of their journey ever since that first episode and it just sucks that I never got to see them live or even meet them.
I know that Brady, Chance, Conor, Drew & Sergio have amazing things ahead of them and I can't wait to be a part of that journey. It's hard not to focus on the sad feelings with this announcement but everything happens for a reason. We should be celebrating all the amazing opportunities they'll be able to have as solo artists and keep showering them in our love & support. Go stream their album & all their singles.
Here's to the boys who I stayed up all night & woke up early for, the ones who made me smile & cry, the ones who showed me a whole different perspective and most importantly, the ones who have given me so many amazing memories along the way. This isn't the end for IRL, just a beautiful new chapter. 💛
