Chapter twenty four - Escape

Ceoko had picked you up you up and ran past Inosuke. You tried to escape,
"Stop it! Let me go!" It didn't work, you were stuck.

You could hear Douma say something about fighting him and how it was useless. 

You were scared..... Douma was a powerful demon that had a whole army on his side..... while Inosuke was just one boar......

You tried to get out again,
"Ceoko please! We have to help him!" You felt tears in your eyes.

"I'm sorry.." He mumbled shortly, he kept running through the town. Some of the people were glancing at you and saying things about a fox and a cat running through the streets-

But you didn't care.

You wanted Inosuke back.

You needed him back.

"Ceoko!" You yelled again, he kept in running. You clenched your teeth.

*if he's dies I-I'm going to kill him!*

You wiped your tears away quickly, you looked at the warehouse fading away as you left the town and entered the forest.

You were too busy crying and sniffling to notice another demon scent that was approaching quickly.

•Inosuke's POV•

He clenched his swords tightly, he was going to live, and then you could live happily together.

Just you and him.

He could kick that cat out of here.  Well if you told him not to he wouldn't, but that's not the point here.

The point is this shithead in front of him.

Douma.

"Are you really trying to fight me?" Douma asked with a small laugh.

"I'm going to win!" He yelledm his voice was full of anger.

"Is that so?" Douma answered with a smile, "Well when I'm done with you I'll go see, Y/N how about that?" His smile grew.

Inosuke growled, "You can't do that if you're dead!" He charged him.

Douma kept his smile, "Did you think it was that easy?" He chucked, "You must've forgotten my friends"

From the rooms of the hallway came more demons.

Every.

Single.

Room.

Inosuke just smiled, "I won't let you beat me!"

He sliced through most of the demons in his way,

He was going to make it to Douma,

And kill him.

You fell to the ground after being tackled by something. 

"Ack!-" You spat out.  You felt someone on top of you,

And it wasn't Ceoko.

You opened your eyes slowly to meet the eyes of a girl. Her eyes were a bright yellow, with long straight black hair.

You squeaked out and tried to push her off.

"No," She said in a dead tone.

The way she spoke- it was.....

terrifying.

Ceoko came over to you and kicked her off of you-

You quickly got up and ran next to Ceoko. She rolled and then stopped, she slowly got up and then looked at you.

Her eyes were dull. 

She cracked her knuckles and then charged at you again.  Not a pleasant sound-

You backed up, and got your claws out. Ceoko charged her as well, he let out a hiss as she scratched him. Still she showed no emotion.

It was a cat fight, except one of those cats were dead- in a way, yet it was still winning.

It looked like Ceoko had never been in a fight with another demon before, and since he couldn't kill her would make this even harder.

Ceoko was on the ground now- you ran to him and tried shoving the girl off. Instead she just knocked you back. You tried again, you took a running head start and knocked her off with Ceoko's help.

He got up and looked at you,
"Are you okay?" He asked,

"No."

You wanted to cry but now really wasn't the time-

She stared at you for a moment before finally saying, "You don't seem that powerful," in a bored tone.

Ceoko hissed again, he got in front of you.

"Now you're playing the hero," It was supposed to be a question but it didn't sound like one.

"Sorry, I'm about to kill you," She said then cut her hand. Blood dropped down.
