"I miss you, kuya!!!"

"Argh!

"I'm not fat."

"Tsk, are you becoming one of those girls na masyadong conscious na sa katawan?"

She rolled her eyes at him. "As if ganoon ako kababaw kuya! I don't care what everybody thinks about me as long as I'm happy."

"That's my girl." He grinned.

Kuya Cayden looked at her. "O right, I forgot to ask. Have you met Chase?

Her brother frowned at her when he sensed the dislike in her tone.

"Is there something wrong with you and Chase? Something I need to know?"

She sighed. "We set on a wrong foot I guess."

"Tell me everything about it."

And she did.

"Kuya!" Maktol niya.

"Oh my god! I can't believe it! You mistook him for a thief? God.. that's classic!"

Tuluyan na siyang nainis.

"It's not even funny! The man scared me to death! What is he even doing here anyway?"

"Ayen.."

There goes that tone again. The kind of tone na parang siya pa ang walang konsensya at hindi nakakaintindi. She hates it whenever her brother uses it. It never fails to make her feel bad.

"He's my patient for two years. I took care of him. He's like a brother you know. Now that he's well, hindi naman pwedeng sa ospital ko siya patirahin. He's not fully recovered yet.

She bit her lip. So no one even asked if she's okay with it, huh. That's fine, this is not her house anyway. It shouldn't bother her but still.. couldn't they have told her at least?!

"Whatever.." Mahinang usal niya.

"Ayen.."

"I'm going to practice. Don't knock on my door tonight."

His face unreadable while looking at her brother's direction.

Did he hear? Malamang. Her voice wasn't that low while talking about him.

He's blind so how the hell did he know where exactly she stood? She doesn't feel creeped or something but sometimes, it makes her doubt if he's really blind. What reason would explain why he easily does that? Like he could always find her even in a room full of people.
