"Derek's outside waiting for Lydia." Scott told them as they stood in an empty classroom. Kylee was pacing the room angry with the situation they found themselves in.

"Waiting to kill her?" Allison questions alarmed.

"If he thinks she's the kanima, then yes, especially after what happened at the pool."

"It's not her," Stiles argued.

"Stiles, she didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened."

"No, it can't be her," Kylee spoke up, her pacing coming to a halt as she faced the trio. "I was with her the whole night! We watched movies and ate our weight in ice cream."

"It doesn't matter, because Derek thinks it's her. So either we can convince him that he's wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her." Allison stated, reaching out the girls held hands, both worried for their friend.

"Well, I really don't think he's gonna do anything here, not at school," Scott said.

Squeezing Kylee's hand tightly before releasing and stepping closer to Scott, Allison spoke up, "What about after school? What if we can prove that Derek's wrong?"

"By three o'clock?"

Allison shrugged, "There could be something in the bestiary."

"Oh, you mean the 900 - page book written in archaic Latin that none of us can read?" Stiles uttered. "Good luck with that."

"Actually, I think I know someone who might be able to translate it." Allison said, sharing a look with Kylee. Lydia.

"Uh, I can talk to Derek, maybe convince him to give us a chance to prove that it's not her."

"I'll come with." Kylee interrupted.

"No," Stiles and Scott stated in sync, both of them staring down the determined girl.

"Yes, I grew up with him. If anyone can convince him of anything, it'll be me." She argued. Stiles adamantly shook his head, blatantly disagreeing with the idea as Scott thought it over for a moment.
