"How I look?" I asked my man before looking down at my dress.
"You look extravagEnt," he smiled at me.
"Deadass?"

I shrugged.
"Jae...I'm graduating college," Zay said to me in a calm tone.
"Uh...yes. So am I," I said, putting in my small hoops.
"Nah, for real. I'm deadass graduating college at 24. Damn, if it wasn't for you I'd probably be a high school drop out by now."
I looked over at him. "Ain't you happy?"
"Yeah but now that I think about this shit...a lot of what's goin on is because of you. My nigga, if you ain't tutor me back in high school and help me graduate, I prolly woulda dropped the fuck out and start surviving on dirty money," he said, sounding sorrowful.
"Zay, don't say that. You w-"
"Now look at me. I was able to save up and buy my momma a house, get a job, play college football to give me eligibility, then I got drafted into the fuckin NFL and now I'm like deadass graduating college."
"Awww...you tryna say thank you?" I pouted.
"Yuh. Thank you Jae...and I love you, for real."
I walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the lips.
"I love you too," I smiled.
He smiled back down at me.
