My vision was blocked by a pair of hands that were too large to be Alisa's. Of course my first instinct was to elbow the owner of the hands. The person in question let go of me and let out a groan of pain as they clutch their stomach in pain. My eyes went wide when I saw the person who I just inflicted pain on, which was Mark.

Mark is my boyfriend. We've been dating for two years and let me tell you, I did not let him have the easy way of winning me over. I tend to be very closed off so it's kind of hard to get close to me, but apparently this idiot was able to do exactly that.

I felt bad for hitting him but then again he looked hilarious. Poor guy was on his knees still recovering from the pain while trying not to ruin the bouquet of flowers he was also holding on to.

Wait. Flowers. What the hell is going on?

"Well happy anniversary to you too, babe." he said in between his groans. My eyes went wide at the realization of the occasion. "Holy shit, I completely forgot!" I exclaim. Wow some girlfriend I am.

"I am so so so sorry, babe! Next time, try not to scare me like that." I said with a sympathetic smile while accepting the flowers and helping him get up of course.

"Well, I'd like to make up for... this, so how's dinner sound? I could just cancel my gig and—" I was cut off by Mark's phone ringing in his pocket. "What the hell is it this time?" Mark grumbles as he reaches for his phone. He takes his call outside for a few minutes then came back in the back room only for my eyes to meet his sad ones.

"Sorry, Prairs, my boss called. He said he wants me to work tonight since one of the guys are going on leave. Rain check?" I frowned slightly at his words but quickly erased it with a smile. "Of course! Wouldn't want your boss getting mad at you right?"

"Unlike your girlfriend!" Alisa suddenly enters the room and throws her apron in my face. "Where did you even get an apron??? We don't even wear aprons!" I ask with both annoyance and curiosity as Mark just stood there chuckling.

"None of your business hon, now get to work! It's my turn to use my phone." she says as she sashays through the room while exaggerating her arms when she reached for her phone. "Alright, alright, your highness." I retorted to which I received an eye roll from her.

"How about tomorrow, I bring you somewhere special so I make up for not being with you tonight? How's that sound, hm?" Mark whispered in my ear. My ears perked up and a smile spread on my face.

He was so romantic when it came to these kinds of stuff. I'm not really the cheesy type so I sucked at making things romantic.

"Alright, it's a date then." I said to him and kissed him on the cheek. He then waved goodbye and exited through the back door.

"God, all this lovey dovey crap makes me wanna spill my guts out. Go do your work woman!" the queen yelled overdramatically. I just rolled my eyes and laughed as I entered the counter, ready to serve customers with a smile, but this time it was actually a genuine one. The smile Mark made on me never left my lips.

I spent the entire afternoon just wondering what kind of romantic gesture Mark would do for me this time. I always looked forward to them, despite it being really cheesy. Mark was always so sweet when he did this kind of stuff, and it makes me wonder what I did to even deserve him.

I wonder if he'd take me to a drive-in theater. Oh that would be so sweet!

Or what if we go on a picnic this time?

Or what if we'll go on a road trip and camp by a lake where we can gaze at the stars all night?

Ooh, what if he'll take me to an amusement park?

Or what if he's gonna—

"OH WHAT THE HELL??"
