She started walking again. To distract herself from the awkward situation she looked down at her novel and decided to read it's synopsis.

Chapter 13
Tripped. Any second now and she would fall down the steep stairs. She would probably end up breaking a few bones due to that.
Her arms slightly flailing, finding something to hold on to save herself from the fall. To her horror, they miserably failed.
Great! Well I hope I don't break my typing hands.
Just then, an arm snaked around her waist as she was pulled back. She felt another arm wrapping around her tiny figure protectively. Due to which, she ended up pressed against Taehyung's chest, his hot breath grazing her face.
With his arms still wrapped around her, he slowly stepped back, making both of them move away from the stairs Jisoo would have probably tumbled down. She could hear him panting, his breath laced with fright.
"You should be more careful. You could've fallen down those stairs if you weren't careful.", Taehyung scolded softly. Jisoo turned around to look him in the eye.
She slowly hugged him. "Thank you..". Her voice still scared, while her breath was shaky from the possibility of falling from that height. Taehyung's heart softened. He hugged her back.
Jisoo pulled away and picked up the books which had fallen because of her clumsiness. She then took a deep breath before she started walking down the stairs. Taehyung followed suit. He thought of the familiar feeling of fright inside him. The last time he felt this..no..not now. He felt his head aching at the memory. Not that memory. Not now-
"Taehyung-ssi...? Are you ok..?". Jisoo's eyes were still shaken from the incident. Nevertheless, they showed concern for the older.
"I am fine." Taehyung had a stoic expression. Jisoo turned her attention back to the librarian sitting behind the desk in front of her. She handed her the books and waited for her to scan them.
"Hand me your library card please.", The librarian said, holding her hand out for the card. Jisoo reached for her bag before realising she didn't have the library's card.
"Here's the card." Taehyung placed a violet card in the librarian's outstretched hand. Jisoo turned around and looked at him. "Thank you... again.", She said with a small smile, her eyes crinkling into the cutest crescents.
"You're welcome." Taehyung gave here a side glance and a small smile. "Here are your books. Have a good day.", The librarian said, giving them both a smile. Both of them returned the smile with a short bow and a smile. Jisoo picked up the books and both of them headed out, the bell hanging above the door chiming due to it being opened.
They walked side by side. Jisoo still looked shaken and out of place. Taehyung unknowingly grew concerned for her.
"Hey.." Taehyung tapped her shoulder softly. Jisoo looked at him, her eyes were still shaken. She hummed in response, turning back to look at the road in front of them.
"Are you perhaps...umm..acrophobic..?" Taehyung felt like he took a really bold step asking her that. He silently slapped himself for blurting it without properly framing that.
Jisoo whipped her head towards him, her face flushed, before quickly looking back at the road. "What? No pfft.. I'm not acrophobic....I'm just scared of heights...", Jisoo mumbled the last part, hoping he didn't catch that.
She heard him chuckle. She looked at him, judging him for laughing at her.
"Sorry...it's just that acrophobia is the fear of heights-", Taehyung said before Jisoo softly hit his arm. "I know what it means...", Jisoo said and looked away before letting out a tiny 'hmphf'. They walked in silence for a while until Taehyung broke it. "So..umm about the book-sharing thing.. When do you want to do it?" Taehyung asked.
Jisoo paused ,for a second, to think about it-
*buzz* *buzz* *buzz* *buzz*
Her phone started vibrating. She took out her phone from her bag and looked at the caller ID
Oppa~(>3<)<3
She was about to answer it but then she realized that Taehyung was there. It would be rude to pick it up right now.
She just stared at it before slowly opening her bag to put the buzzing device inside.
"You can pick it up if you want to.", Taehyung said in a reassuring voice, "I don't mind."
The smaller's eyes lit up with joy as she quickly slid her thumb across her phone screen, answering the call.
"Where are you babe. You said it will only take some time."
"Sorry... I forgot to call you when I left the library..sorry again..."
"No way! You were so immersed with Taehyung that you even forgot about me?! Oh the-
"I can smell jealousy even from here hehe.."
"I AM NOT JEALOUS OF HIM!"
"Sure... hehehe"
"I am almost home, just wait for me~"
"Ok, fine. Love you bunbun~"
"Aish...Love you too."
Jisoo said into the other line before turning to meet Taehyung's eyes.
"So...you were asking about us meeting up right?", Jisoo asked the taller. Taehyung nodded in response.
"Right. So when do you want to do it?", Jisoo asked him. She wanted Taehyung to decide. She didn't want to disrupt any of his plans.
"Whenever you're ok with. How about sometime after tomorrow?" Taehyung suggested.
"Totally fine by me.", Jisoo said, smiling at the male. Taehyung found himself smiling back.
