Chapter 14

There it stood, in all its glory. It was enclosed safely, from Jisoo, inside the place's display. Well if it was safe till now, its not going to be for long. (A/N : Imagine Jisoo laughing evilly hehe).

The place itself was magnificent. And it was the the most glorious piece of art that was ever created.

The shorter had to control herself from drooling, which took all her might.

With each step, as they neared the place, Jisoo found herself pausing. Her eyes were glued to the entrance of the said place.

She stood there, hunger evidently dancing in her eyes. Nothing, or no-one, mattered to her. Her eyes stayed fixated on it inside the display, oblivious to all the happenings around her.

Taehyung, however, continued walking past, not giving the said place or it's displays any attention. All that was going on in his brain was ,"Was it a smart move? She will definitely fall for me this way..right? What if she doesn't? Am I going to be stuck in this bet forever?"

Meanwhile, Jisoo couldn't think of anything but what was displayed on the numerous banners of the said place.

Unknowingly, Jisoo's legs walked towards the said place. Taehyung finally snapped out of his thoughts to suggest a meeting place, only to be met with the sight of Jisoo walking towards a not-so-tiny outlet with red banners.

"Why does she look like that?" Taehyung thought while watching Jisoo slowly walk towards the outlet with a hypnotized stare. Taehyung finally decided to pay attention to the place's banners

All you can eat Chicken

Taehyung chuckled to himself, looking at the hungry stare in Jisoo's eyes. He caught up to her and grabbed her hand ever-so gently, making her turn to face him.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, nodding his head towards the All-you-can-eat Restaurant.

Jisoo then realized. The taller was with her all this time. The whole time she was going all zombie while eyeing the chicken, he had witnessed it all.

In an attempt to save herself from embarrassment, she quickly shook her head, denying the obvious hunger building up inside her.
"Besides, if I give this up, maybe I'll become prettier and then he'll like me...? Right? Gosh! I hate this bet..."

Taehyung, for a strange reason, felt like he knew the drill. He slightly tightened his grip on her arms.
"Well I am, so let's eat.". And without waiting for her to react in any manner, he quickly started walking towards the restaurant, dragging a very happy Jisoo along with him.

Taehyung wasn't in a mood for food. He , in fact, felt too full. But, it wouldn't hurt to eat a little bit right? It would probably be delicious......right?

As soon as the two reached the door, Taehyung pushed the glass door open and turned his head to look at her. There it was, the side-profile of a goddess, the sparkle in her eyes, everything that distinguished her from the other humans. The everything that made his heart unknowingly skip a beat.

They were greeted by a waitress, "Table for two, I presume?", the waitress asked to which the male responded with a nod. "Right this way.", The waitress said with a smile, leading them towards an empty table towards the window.

Once they were seated, the waitress handed them both a menu, which Taehyung declined.

"She'll order, I'm not hungry.", Taehyung politely said, earning a weird look from Jisoo.

"Didn't this Ice guy say he was hungry?"

However, Jisoo was hungry and didn't hesitate to order. The waitress stood patiently, waiting for her to order.

Jisoo pointed towards an item on the menu, a happy smile gracing her features. The waitress smiled, "Sure ma'am, your order will be here soon.". She took the menu from Jisoo's hand and left.

"Hey, Taehyung...", Jisoo called out softly, to which the male hummed in response

"Didn't you bring me here? You said you were hungry.....Why didn't you order?"

"I lost my appetite.", Taehyung replied, averting his gaze outside.

"Oh...", Jisoo said, looking towards the counter.

Taehyung, kept his sight fixated outside the window, not wanting to meet the eyes of the younger. The sight outside was calm for a weekday, something that was rare to see in Seoul. Though it was calm, there were quite a few people outside, mainly couples.

He felt bitter looking at the sweet couples, holding hands and hugging. Taehyung scoffed at the sight.

"Can they-"

"Aren't they so sweet?", Jisoo said, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts.

"Yea..."

"I sometimes wish I had something like them. I wish someone would hold my hand too...", Jisoo said, looking at the couples outside with dreamy eyes.

Taehyung reached out and placed his hands on Jisoo's. The shorter looked at their hands, and then at Taehyung with a questioning look.

"What? You said that you wished someone would hold you hands. So I am holding your hand."

The shorter couldn't help but laugh at what he said.

"I didn't mean it like that Taehyung-ssi. I meant I wanted someone to hold my hand, just like those couples. Not like this.", Jisoo said while laughing, her laugh making the room more lively.

"Oh...." Taehyung quickly retracted his hands from hers, his face and ears turning red from embarrassment.

Though Jisoo didn't feel anything for him, she still wished he hadn't taken his hand away. It was warm and felt nice against her cold skin.

She wondered how the supposed Ice Prince had such warm hands.

Just then a blonde waitress made their way towards their table. She set down the food and quickly left after asking if they required anything else.

"Eat with me.", Jisoo said.

"I am not hungry..."

"I didn't ask, you should be happy that I am sharing my chicken with you..Consider it my treat.", Jisoo said, pointing and waving her chopsticks at the taller.

Taehyung opened his mouth to deny, when Jisoo shoved a piece of chicken in his mouth. His eyes remained widened though he closed his mouth and chewed.

"See? You're hungry. Otherwise you wouldn't eat it." The shorter pushed the tray of food closer to Taehyung.

"I ordered enough for the both of us. Let's eat together. Don't hesitate, it's my treat.", Jisoo said with her infamous heart smile. Taehyung couldn't even bring himself to decline her offer.

She handed him a pair of chopsticks, which he reached out to receive, their fingertips brushing against each other's.

Taehyung watched as Jisoo ate happily, her eyes twinkling brighter than they have ever. "Is it that good?"
