So, I've decided.. Y'all will need to reach a vote goa- IM JOKING DON'T KILL MEH. One of my favorite authors recently did this and I'm like WHY? Like, you have a few loyal fans who vote and comment on EVERY chapter, and the vote goal exceeds what we can do!

Anyways, enough with that.. ONTO LE STORY!

I wake up, still nuzzled into Sans' loving embrace. I try not to squirm, not wanting to wake him. He yawns slightly, hugging me tighter.

"Mmm. Mornin', kid." He exaggerates the nickname, smirking.

"I have, like, twelve thousand witnesses that know you're into me, so if you insist on callin' me 'kid', then-" I sit up quickly.

"Mmmph." Sans grunts, rolling over. I grin at his antics, and squeeze his hand.

"Hey, Sans?" I start, curious.

"Yeah, flower?" He replies.

I pause slightly. "Flower?"

"Yeah. Ya won't lemme call ya 'kid', so I'm tryna come up with another nickname." He explains, grinning.

"Well, don't call me flower." I deadpan, a smirk threatening to break free.

"Aight. What'd ya want?"

"How do monsters age?" I ask, curious. Sans sits up, biting his tongue.

"Well, uh.. It really depends. The original monsters, 'cause they were born on the surface and shit, live ta be, like, thousands of years old.. Something in the atmosphere." He starts. "The other monsters, like me, Paps, and Alphys, generally have slightly decreased lifespans, only reaching, like, 200 or so." He explains.

"What about me? Since I'm some sort of.. Hybrid." I ask.

"Well, I remember my dad blabbing on about one of his 'experiments' on the surface.." Sans strains. "Said somethin' about how they'd 'have a lifespan similar to their counterpart', that counterpart bein' me."

"So.. I'll live about as long as you?"

"Yeah." Sans confirms. "Or.. At least I think so, heh.. My dad's not exactly around for me ta ask." He darkly states, forcing his grin wider.

"Oh.. I'm-"

"No. Don't say you're sorry. There's.. No reason to." Sans quickly replies, squeezing my hand tighter. "Let's not ruin this moment."

"Ok." I softly say, snuggling closer into Sans' embrace. He tightens his hold, making me feel comforted.

"So, uh.. How long're we gonna stay here?" He asks, grinning slightly.

"I don't know.." I mumble, smiling into his side. "Forever?" I jokingly suggest. Sans chuckles. I feel his chest vibrate.

"I dunno.. I don' think Undyne and Alphys would appreciate not seeing the fruits of their labor." He grins down at me lovingly. "Y'know, 'm really glad this happened."

"Me, too." I smile. Sans slowly sits up, loosening his grip on me.

"C'mon, let's go get some breakfast."

"Where?" I question, sitting up as well.

"I dunno.. Grillby's?" Sans suggests.

"Is that where you got the eggs?" I ask, fondly remembering our first sleepover.

"I dunno." He replies, grinning mischievously.

"Well-" I squint at him, smiling. "Are you trying to hide it from me?"

"I dunno." He repeats, his smirk only growing.

"I'll find out eventually, and when that day comes," I stand up, posing triumphantly. "You'll be-" I pause, glancing at my hoodie. "Sans, how dirty is my hoodie?" I demand.
