NOVEMBER LET OUT a small laugh with her arms slung around Connie's shoulder as they made their way into Julie's dorm. At that moment, the girl was just trying to be as content as she could with her best friend. Though, one thing still flashed through her mind.

"I can't wait to finally go to school with you!" Connie exclaimed in a breathy daydream as she allowed herself to fall back onto Julie's bed. November let out a small yet nervous chuckle as she closed the door behind her.

"yeah.. about that.." Nova sighed, rubbing her upper left arm in a bashful manner. "If I do end up going to school here, i'd have to start next year..."

Suddenly, Julie and Connie sat up straight in alarm with wide and let down eyes. "What? Why?" Connie whined

"and what do you mean, If you do end up going to school here?" Julie added

Again, Nova chuckled nervously as she ran a hand through her hair and sat down on the carpeted floor. The girl down-casted her gaze to the ground and sighed. "As much as I missed you guys and all, the reason I agreed to coming back was because Bombay promised I could finish off my school year in England..." November rose her gaze back up to meet Connie and Julie's sad eyes. "I have finals and I really really want to be there for my team... so Eden made an agreement that they'd offer me a scholarship for next year too if I wanted to come back..."

Silence filled the room for a moment, causing November suck in a deep breath of air as the anxiety rose inside her. "You really want to stay in England, don't you?" Connie sighed as she forced a small smile onto her face

Nova sat there for a moment and shrugged before giving a curt nod. "I love it there. I do get homesick for time to time but the place is amazing and the only real flaw is that you're not there. The teams not there. Hes not there..."

November bit the inside of her cheek as she felt sadness raise inside her. Connie and Julie couldn't help but exchange knowing looks. The one November referred to as 'he' could really only be one person and truly, the two girls couldn't live with themselves if they didn't say anything about it at that moment.

"You should talk to him..." Connie spoke in a small voice with Julie giving a solemn nod in agreement. Suddenly, November's body had stiffened and her breathing stopped for a small moment.

Slowly, November rose her head up to meet their undivided attention. The girls would be lying if they said they didn't instantly see the fright and trauma that November's gaze held. "um..." she said out in a quiet and shaky voice. "I-I don't think it matters..."

Julie's shoulders dropped in heartache upon hearing the croakyness and anxiety her voice held. "You know it does," the blonde admitted in a sigh, "Come on, Nova..."

November switched her gaze between the two girls as she fought off the tears that threatened to spill. She couldn't help but allow the memories of nine months ago flash through her brain. Even the pain had rushed back. "I don't think he cares... He wouldn't even call me..."

Julie and Connie exchanged desperate glances as they mentally agreed on telling her what they configured. "That's because he literally couldn't" Julie sighed

Connie nodded her head vigorously as she crawled off the bed and made her way in front of November. The brunette grabbed the sides of the sorrow girl's cheeks, causing her to turn her gaze straight to Connie. "Listen to me," Connie began in a caring yet urging voice, "he cares, trust me..."

November, being the stubborn girl she is, shook her head and bit the inside of her bottom lip. "You don't know that-"

"I do." Before Nova could speak again, Connie placed her hand over the girls mouth to refrain her retorts. "He cares about you so much that he doesn't even know how to care for himself... that's why he acted the why he did this year. He didn't think there was anything worth caring about anymore..."
