47 - Questions

Kenji couldn't help but worry. The two were so close, he couldn't think of her not being around. He remembered the tid-bits of information she had told him from her time with the Omega Elder. True Alphas were nothing to mess around with, especially with her being a Prime. When he first learned that his best friend was a Prime, he didn't believe it until one day she went into Alpha mode. After that, he never questioned anything she said about her abilities.

To him, she would always be his Gigi-chan. There was a time when he even considered being Mates with her, just to protect her from possibly mating a True Alpha. But Gideon was extremely hard to get close to. Kenji couldn't help but wonder if they could have gotten any closer than they already were. 

"Gi, please be careful babe."

"I will Kenji-kun."

He kissed her on the forehead and stood to stretch out the last bit of tension he had. Just then Sanada walked into the office. The Alpha walked over to Kenji and gave him one more hug.

"Thank you again Kenji."

"Hey! She's my sister from another mister. You better believe I'd be there for her." Kenji smirked and gave her a wink.  "Having said that. You take excellent care of her Toru, or you'll have me, and the entire Okada clan on your ass." Kenji playfully punched Sanada in the chest. The Alpha threw his hands up, submitting fully to the threat.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, my friend."

Kenji patted Sanada on the shoulder. The two Males had become close in such a short amount of time, even though Sanada was his boss, Gideon had brought the two closer.

"Take her home Toru. Make sure she rests. I expect to see her in a week, happy and healthy. Emphasis on the healthy!"

The two males laughed as Kenji made his way to the door.

"Love you Kenji-kun."

"Love you to baby girl."

As Kenji exited, Anno-san entered to bid the two goodbye. As he approached, Gideon stood and moved towards the Elder Alpha, surprising him with a tender hug.

"Thank you so much Anno-san, for everything."

"Ah! There's no need to thank me my dear. I'm just happy I've been able to live long enough to see a Prime, and a beautiful one at that."

Gideon gave him another hug and made her way back to her Alpha.

"Okay, you two. Go home and rest, there's no need to rush back. Take as much time as you need."

Sanada gave Anno-san one final hug before he left for his office. Finally alone, Gideon sought her Alpha for comfort.

"Let's go home babe."

"Mn."

Sanada grabbed what they needed, shut the lights off and left to start their week away from work. Gideon hesitated before exiting her office, her Alpha turned to her and smiled but knew she was now more fearful than before.

"It's okay Gi, everyone is gone."

She gave him a weak smile then moved close to him, grabbing his arm for support, both physically and emotionally. Once she was inside the elevator, she relaxed but only briefly. The elevator hadn't gone 3 floors when it stopped and the doors opened. Gideon immediately moved against the wall and pulled her Mate in front of her, using her Alpha as a shield. Sanada didn't protest as he turned to look at her, slightly surprised by her actions.

"Ah! Sanada-san, we meet again!"

Turning back towards the doors, he was glad it wasn't a male.

"Ms. Haiyashi, what a surprise."

The older lady was trying to see who was behind him as they were intentionally hiding. The elevator couldn't reach the basement parking floor fast enough as far as Sanada was concerned. He now cursed being so high up.

The elevator stopped at the next floor. Sanada felt his Mate's uneasiness suddenly increase.

{Please don't let them on. Please}

Sanda didn't respond but had heard her. When the door began to open he moved in front of it, blocking whoever was going to enter. It was four men from another business on the 7th floor. Sanada had his hand on the door close button. Now that he had moved to the door, Ms. Haiyashi was now able to see the woman that had been blocked from view earlier. She gasped, which only caused Gideon to look towards the wall and Sanada to look at her.

The elevator door opened. "Sorry, you'll have to take the next one." Without further explanation, he hit the close button and returned to his Mate once the doors shut. Seeing how protective Sanada was being to the person behind him, Ms. Haiyashi's curiosity couldn't be contained.

"So Toru, this must be that special someone you mentioned earlier?"

Gideon had her head turned so her face was hidden again. Sanada looked at her over his shoulder to make sure she was still okay.

{Gi?}

{I'll be fine Toru}

"Yes, it is Ms. Haiyashi"

"I see! You're very lucky dear. He WAS one of Tokyo's top bachelors!"

"I'm the lucky one Ms. Haiyashi."

"Ohh!" All the older woman could see of Gideon now was her side and ponytail, the rest of her was hidden behind her Alpha. "What's your name dear?"

Gideon had no intention of answering the woman and promptly ignored her. Sanada saw her move to try to get a better look at his Omega. She gave Sanada a frown at not being able to see her.

Finally reaching the lobby, Ms. Haiyashi moved to exit the elevator. Now standing in front of the door she turned to Sanada.

"Well, enjoy your weekend Toru, you too dear!" As she walked out of the elevator, she turned and was finally able to see the person hiding behind him fully. "Oh my God, your beautiful..." Gideon hid again as the door shut. Alone, Gideon moved to the front of her Mate and hid against him. He rubbed her back as he felt her shaking had returned.

Gideon just wanted to burst into tears but held it together. She hated being like this. So vulnerable and weak, but she couldn't help it. It was just the nature of being a Prime Omega and of one that wasn't fully mated. Gideon had already decided that no matter what would happen, she was going to allow her True Alpha to have her. It was either that or stay in this weakened and vulnerable state indefinitely. 

To her, that was NOT an option.
