Back in the car, they continued on their journey. Gideon had a lot of time to reflect on all manner of things; life, goals, dreams. This morning while getting dressed, she noticed how much her body had indeed changed to bear pups. Her hips were a lot fuller than she thought, and her rear end was plumper. Gideon thought it best to not wear anything too form fitting as her already ample breasts were even more so. As she gazed at the passing scenery, Ha-Neul linked both of them.

{Hiiiiiiii, I miss yoooouuuuu!! Love you bye-bye!!}

Gideon and Toru both chuckled.

"How can he link both of us? He's just a baby."

"Yes, but he's also a Prime Toru. Him and I can link each other because we're connected from me healing him so deeply. He can link you because you're my Mate, and we're bonded."

"Bonded?"

"You need to pay better attention dearheart. We're soulmates."

"I thought soulmates felt everything the other felt. That they knew where the other was at all times?"

Gideon turned and looked at him. Her eyes were now their rare golden color. She just looked at him as he focused on the road. Toru rubbed his chest after feeling a strange, but warm flutter. Gideon turned to look out the window so he couldn't see the change in her eyes. She didn't want to freak him out while he drove.

"Did you feel that?"  She turned back to face him after her eyes returned to their grey color.

"Yeah? What was that?"

"Me. I'll show you more later."

She leaned her head back and stared at the road ahead, her gaze not focusing on anything in particular. "You know, I would love to have a pup like Ha-neul..." Gideon's voice trailed off. Toru glanced over at her just in time to see her wipe away a tear.  He rubbed her shoulder, letting her know it was okay.   Lately the painful topic of having pups had been coming up a lot.  He knew it hurt her deeply now that she had a Mate, the fact that she was unable to bear them tore at her heart.  Now, even her own body was reminding her of that painful fact.  The somber silence was broken by a phone call for Toru, it was Okada. He answered it via the hands free mode.

"Hello Jun."

"Hi Dad!!" Gideon couldn't help but say hello to her dad. He chuckled at hearing her voice. Toru was surprised at how quickly she shook off her somber mood.

"Hello my dear! Toru how are you two doing?"

"I'm taking Gideon to my home near the mountains."

"Oh....I see. This is a very special trip then! Toru, make sure to take her to the wishing well! I just wanted to call to make sure you were both doing well. You two enjoy. Gigi my dear? Stay close to Toru."

"I will dad, love you!"

"Love you both."

"Wishing well!?" Gideon's voice was full of excitement.

"Do you want to stop? It's kinda touristy."

"Of course! I want to make a wish. Pleeeeeeease?"

"You my dear are something else. Sure! We'll stop."

Gideon clapped like a little kid. She already knew what she wanted to wish for. She reached for her Alpha's hand, holding it firmly. Gideon looked out the window to try to hide the fact that she was fighting back tears. The thought of going to the wishing well and making her wish was making her emotional again. For now, she was glad that Toru couldn't sense what she was feeling.
